They have my ingredients! I love baking and finding the right ingredients for my seasonal festive sweet bread has been a challenge. Once I explored this market I was so happy I finally found a place where to get them. For this particle bread (rosca de reyes) I was looking for figs, which you can see as a topping 🧑‍🍳

This place trades on convenience. Friendly staff and easy location for Houghton neighborhood. Massively over-priced produce and vegetables and a simply awful selection of protein. Much produce comes from Mexico and has a very short shelf life. Also Astonishing that there is not a better meat selection versus pre-cut and wrapped like an old-school Safeway. For the prices this store charges it is consistently understaffed at checkout. Staff here is at least friendly.

Visited Metropolitan Market for the first time and noticed it had two separate entrances, but only one had working checkout stands. The other entrance had a register area that was blocked off. It left me wondering if it’ll be opened in the future. Inside, the store had a wide variety of selections, including fresh seafood and a hot food section with a self-serve buffet bar. The layout was clean and inviting, and there were employees available throughout the store, which made the experience smoother. Parking, however, was a bit chaotic. The plaza was packed due to several nearby businesses, and the busy intersection didn’t help. Despite the parking situation, the store itself was impressive and worth the stop. JY review

Love it! First time here. Everything was so fresh looking. Store was clean,neat and tidy. Got the bakery cookie and it definitely lived up to its hype. Delish. Will definitely go back when I have more time and can do all the shopping

The local Whole Foods market is rather pricey, but it offers incredibly fresh produce. The salad and olive bars are a delightful addition, and the bakery is truly exceptional.

Bay at Metropolitan Market is truly outstanding. He is consistently diligent, attentive, and incredibly kind. His positive attitude and willingness to help make every visit a pleasant experience. Metropolitan Market is lucky to have him.

So I just called in. I get it, it's Christmas Eve, and you guys are very likely busy. But, man, the guy that answered for the meat department was disrespectful. I asked about a product's price because I was doing a DoorDash order. It would have taken him no longer than 10 seconds to check, but instead, he acted rude and refused to go check the price, then just hung up on me. So, fine, you won't get my money. Train your people better man.
