Cho Thanh Binh

My friend was introducing me to this market. Therefore, I decided to check out what they sell at this market. It is a small grocery store, but they do have enough food and produce selections. Their food and produce item prices are cheaper in comparison to other grocery stores. Their service was friendly to customers. I always like to support small business stores. I would highly recommend this small market to everyone.

Busy Vietnamese market with a lot of products, fresh fruits and veggies, and a meat market, plus hot foods and snacks. We bought some rambutan and snacks after eating lunch nearby. The store was super busy on New Year's Eve, but clean and well-stocked. Prices are fair and the store is worth checking out.

To confuse me even more, I walked in to Chợ Thanh Bình Market, this is the older grocery store compared to Chợ Tân Bình Market. They are quite far apart but in the same parking lot. The store sign is blue in the same style as other store. But I don't know if they are related or not.

The store is decently clean comparing to other asian market. However, be careful with the foods to go. We sampled multiple items and almost all of them expired with rotten taste or smell. I dont think they refrigerated the left over items. The food inspection agency may need to pay a visit to this place. STAY AWAY from FOOD TOGO items if you shop here!

My whole family often comes to this market to buy food, and most of the time we enjoy shopping here. However, I once bought fried pork sausage and discovered that it was raw in the middle. I called the vendor, and they told me to come back so they could replace it. But when I returned, their attitude was very unpleasant. They insisted that their food was not undercooked and treated me as if I was trying to take advantage of them over just one sausage. This experience was very disappointing and disrespectful. And one thing for sure: I will never come back to this place again.

I'm from austin and thought we had some cool and fairly clean Asian markets but this one is way nicer and most of the same stuff. The one thing Cho Tan Binh has that others in austin don't is all "fast food" options I was glad I wasn't hungry when I went in because I would have tried alot of items...

a family run Vietnamese grocery market that is fairly new newly built/expanded during the pandemic. should go here vs the other markets on Bellaire or Viet Hoa etc less crowded, fresh produce, meat seafood etc and even fresh "homemade " food to go good sized ample parking lot as well no need to go to the other markets and fight for a parking spot
