Customer Reviews

Amazing food and great experience! The flavors were rich and authentic, and everything tasted fresh. The curry was perfectly spiced, and the portion size was very good. Staff were friendly and service was quick. Definitely one of the best places for Indian food. Highly recommended!
The workers are not good. They throw the bag when asked for a bag. No courtesy of helping to put the stuff into the bag. Just hesitant to wait when more items are getting bagged. Waiting and love to see the Desi District to take over on this store soon and then owners understand the reviews given by the customers. I will not be at this store again
I’ve been shopping here for over 3y now. They have good quality, good priced stuff almost always, although sometimes some items are not available for weeks/months in a row. Regardless, they are still the best Indian grocery shopping center in the Denver area. I live in downtown Denver and I don’t mind traveling to buy stuff from this store. The food at the new restaurant is not good though. I had paneer manchurian and baby corn item for to-go. I must say that it was the worst food I’ve ever eaten in a long, long time. They didn’t smell fresh and the worst part is that both the paneer and baby corn used for the appetizer felt sub-standard and plastic-like, especially the paneer. It was so bad that I had to throw it all away.
Went in on a weekday around noon. The store was open, we grabbed what we needed within 5 minutes, and went to check out except there was no one at the register. We rang the bell and waited with no response. A man doing repairs (not an employee) tried to help locate staff and eventually pointed out the employee outside. My husband asked him to check us out and was told, "I’ll be there," after which he disappeared again for another 10 minutes while bringing in inventory. After waiting nearly 20 minutes, we left our groceries behind without purchasing anything because we had jobs to get back to. There was zero urgency, zero apology, and zero concern that paying customers were waiting. If staffing is an issue, install self-checkout or don’t pretend to be open. Safe to say we won’t be returning. Good luck selling inventory if customers can’t actually buy it.
The new food court at Konark is amazing. Its a convenient take away/dine-in center. Order the food and its ready by the time grocery shopping is done. We tried the Samosa Chat and Paneer Biryani, both were very tasty, and in good quantity worth the price. The irani chai as well was awesome. Definitely recommended!
So far the best indian grocery store in the south denver metro area - Good selection of spices, condiments, sweets, frozen food, desserts etc, as well as a great selection of fresh prepared food items in-house including but not limited to: Chai, sweets, Snacks, etc.
Sloppy store, but with a decent selection of exotic fresh produce. I came for ginger and turmeric which I found in acceptable (expensive) condition. DO NOT get a prepared snack from the cashier, e.g. the Samosa in the warmer behind them. Instead of using tongs to grab the snack from the heater, she put on a pair of USED food-service gloves that were sitting in front of the unit. I told her to "forget it/ never mind." The broken sign screams all you need to know. If you're in a pinch for something Desi, they might have it.
