Vani Foods

I always go to Vani stores. Recently, I got 2 coconuts and 1 of them was bad. I went back to return them and get another instead. The person in the front was rude and mentioned, there are no refunds or exchange on coconuts and he said 50% coconuts they get is bad and hence there are 2 different pricing. If you break them open at the store its higher price, if you take it home without breaking them at the store its a lower price. Basically, they are taking chances to use your money in their favor by selling coconuts, even though they know they buy 50% rotten coconuts. They either need to change their distributor or take care of their customers. India grocers are not far away from them and I'm taking my business there moving forwards. They need to learn how to take care of their customers.

Extreme rude customer service . Have been here so many times , but looks like they have too many new customers and do not care if the old ones want to keep coming. For the 5 items I had , I requested a plastic bag instead of the box ( can’t carry because of shoulder injury ) she was rude and snubbed me and told me I should carry a bag . I tried to explain it was unplanned and have an injury . The bag she was giving me was torn and when I requested a new one - she started snubbing me and said I should go to other stores . Thank you !

Highest priced Indian grocery store compared to all other Indian grocery stores in south east Michigan. I went to 3 different Indian stores after visiting Vani foods , they are charging $1 to 3 $ more for same products(same brand) than all other 3 Indian stores I visited. I have been purchasing from Vani foods last 15 years and yesterday was my last day visiting this store. Also now this stores have lot of improperly labeled items displayed and when they scan it will a different. Also lots of of arrogant unprofessional employees with small aisles that cannot be maneuvered safely . I will be writing to the state general attorney’s office and FTC about this greedy price gouging .

I bought banana leaves 10 today. I requested the lady before packing make sure the banana leaves are good and I need only good leaves. She packed and gave it to me. I opened in front of the lady 4 leaves are torn . I returned immediately. I asked the price she told 2.99 $. But they charged 3.49 $. Make sure the price and the materials before you buy. Thanks

Fine selection of frozen food. Not enough space to walk freely, can get congested due to compact area. Compared to other indian stores, prices seem inflated for almost the whole lot. And most items and vegetables do not have relevant price tags to refer to before buying. The best thing here is the fresh snacks that are available, samosas and vegetable puffs are served hot and taste is satisfactory.

Went to Vani Foods yesterday. There were so many things which are hard to find nowadays. The staffs were very friendly. Every item was well organized. Affordable pricing. Keep it up Vani Foods.👍👏

Great Indian store with very fresh vegetables, and a wide variety of Indian brand groceries and products. Very friendly and accommodating staff!
