Kam Man Food

I always stop in for Chinese BBQ. You can never go wrong with a combo box of duck and roast pork, or soy sauce chicken. There is no place in the area better for Chinese BBQ, trust me, I have tried and have been seriously disappointed. I am also a big fan of the bakery, and I am not ashamed to say, Chinese hot dog buns for breakfast; it is just reminds me of my childhood. This past visit, I got myself an amazing chip haul. I could not believe how crazy the Chinese selection of Lay's chips were!!! These chips won't last the next tv binge.

The cashiers are as rude as hell, I have not been there for almost a year. The way they treat customers especially cashier number 2, she never speaks and just nods or shake her head when we ask her questions. This kind of customer service in this economy… many of my good friends also have boycotted Kam Man. Asian Food market cashiers are more polite and professional. Kam Man should really look into this and guide their staff!!

I like this store but I gave a one star rating as I need to alert the public that the bakery is selling very old pastries and buns. We bought two black bean buns and both had fungus growing on it. Please be careful when buying food from this section of the store. I forgot to take pictures but the management knows very well that they are doing the wrong thing here. Please be very, very careful. Each bun or pastry should have an expiry date and this store does not do that because they are selling buns and pastries that have exceeded the shelf life intermingled with freshly made buns. One more time I get this piece and find fungus on it, I will report this matter to the NJ health department with the necessary pictures. Update 11/18/2025 - we tried the Home Made Tofu Flower and found that it smells burnt! It looks like someone cooked this tofu dessert until it burnt at the bottom of the pot then scooped the top part to sell to customers. Those who bought this dessert which comes at $2.75 a small tub, would have tasted tofu that was burnt. The other thing I would caution is NOT to buy the Kopiko coffee as it is not real Kopiko but a FAKE!!!!! That should explain why Kamman is trying to get rid of it with a sale scheme in place. They probably got it dirt cheap and found out the coffee does not taste the same! Just don’t buy it!! It is not the authentic Malaysian coffee.

The best-cooked food supermarket is in there. They offered a wide variety of authentic Chinese food and also freshly made bread. It’s a must-visit place for grocery shopping!!

Their deli is not expensive and a perfect option for lunch. You get three items with rice and soup for a low price. Not to mention how delicious their deli is. They are also a very good Asian market with all the essential Asian goods. Truly amazing!

Kam Man never fails to wow me. It kept improving over the years as number of Asian supermarket in Edison increased. Bakery and hot food departments are my favorite. Prices are so reasonable I wish I could bring all of them home with me! So yummy and such a reasonable price! It's better to eat at Kam Man than to any restaurant in Edison! I strongly recommend!

Our favorite Asian grocery store in NJ! Been going to this store for years already, and it never disappoints. Fresh vegetables and seafood are always there! The hot food bar is made fresh to order, and also tasty!
