Far East Center

Although its Lunar New Year celebration event is not until this weekend, but the Far East Center on South Federal is already filled with the holiday spirit. Besides the lion dancing mural by Ratha Sok was about done, adding another reason to visit the place during the holidays.

Happy year of the snake! I've been celebrating here for 10 years and it's a great experience for all the senses every year. Warning it is loud and there is smoke so it could trigger some populations.

The Chinese New Year event was amazing, lots of dancing, and we had the chance to try the food that was around

The Far East center held an event with a k-pop dance competition, food, the dragon/lion dance, and more. Very welcoming environment. No public restroom for the event which was a downside. The food wasn’t terrible. The dancers were amazing !!

This is a terrific mix of restaurants and markets. Parking can be a challenge occasionally but overall I highly recommend stopping by with time to browse.

I’m glad to see this plaza at full capacity again but parking is awful. Also, it would be nice to see more variety in shops here. Mostly different pho shops and gift shops. I’m a little spoiled from living in Vegas for the past few years so maybe it’s just me. Either way, I had an okay time checking it out on Sunday.

Attended Lunar New Year celebration. They put on a very nice show for two days. Very family-oriented, very neighborly. MC for Sunday kids fashion show was stylish and funny! Lots of New Year items to buy and give to friends or decorate. Parking lot was packed but they advised off street parking.
