This place puts the "Super" in supermarket! The prices and selection can't be beat. The bulk section is incredible! Everything from grains, seasonings, cereal, and mixes to candy, nuts, and trail mixes can be bought by the pound and bagged yourself! The store brand products have never disappointed me. Look in the first isle for the discount deals and manager specials. They are an employee owned company which is also a bonus!!!
2-15-26 They do not care how filthy their belt and scanner are at the checkout. If you ask most clerks to clean the scanner, you would think you asked them to do sonething beyond reasonableness. Went in tonight handed the clerk a couple of wet wipes and asked her, "Would you please clean the scanner?" Her reply was to the effect of, "I'll clean it when I get to it." And she threw the wipes away. (I already cleaned the belt area that I used because it was sticky.) When I asked her to call the manager, she told me words to the effect of, "You can just take your groceries to another lane." Lead Cashier Mike arrived and immediately started to verbally attack me. Well Lead Cashier Mike, yes, this is the second time we have talked. Because the previous clerk in question was rude when asked her to clean the filth off the belt. If you would staff sufficiently to have personnel available to keep the belts and scanners reasonably clean, then there would be no issue. In addition, if your clerks were not insolent, there would be no issue. I politely asked her to wipe the scanner, handed the "tool" (wet wipe) necessary to perform the reasonable, simple request, and she was insolent and threw the wipes away. No matter how you try to spin it, the problem is not the customer who does not want their food items in the filth, it is your employee who do not respect the person(s) l who pays their salary. (The company issues the paycheck, but it is the customers who pay your salary.) I know this is a hard concept to grasp. Oh, BTW, there are several clerks who thank me for the help--they are the older generation. Also, customers in line behind me have also thank me for leaving them a clean belt because I will clean all over the belt that is exposed, not just what I use. I don't know if the filth on the belt is animal or fish blood, chemicals, etc. Respect your customers!!! ----------- Deceptive trade practices. Display a product in the middle of a rack at a low price to trick people into thinking the products around it are the same price. Meanwhile, the prices for the more expensive items are above the normal field of view. They know what they are doing, and why. I call it deceptive trade practices. See pictures. If you are walking down the aisle, you normally see the lower price. It is not until you look up, that you see the other price signs.
I love WinCo foods. I have been shopping at Wincos in different cities that I have lived in for the last few years now and I can really say that besides Costco Winco is the best place to shop for groceries. I love it. The pricing, selection of brands, store hours. Really the only negative thing that I could possiblyhave to say about Winco is that you cannot use cards to pay. This takes an ALMOST perfect place to shop for groceries and makes it a place that I can only go to if circumstances are just right.
Prices are still very good, except the Meat. Also there's no much options for a gluten free food, there is no barbecue chicken ready to eat. But the fruit and vegetales dpt is great great. I bought pomagranate, is on the high end in proce but I love to eat it The avacatos are very low price,0.58 each. I got a muzarella cheese sílice on a bad, very good you should try it. By the way contact me for your exterior remodeling needs. That way you could see more of my "sugestories". Thank you
This one is slightly larger than the one in carrollton I believe. The staff was just as friendly as the other location. Same thing where they don't use debit cards, so some people might care but since that's my main form of payment it doesn't bother me. Lots of low prices and good things to buy.
Winco praises itself for being employee owned as if that makes them more kind or people focused, they are not. They towed my car, even though their parking lot is open 24/7. They picked a towing company in Fort Worth and didn’t even have the information of the towing company they use. I had to call the police to find my car. I will never buy from winco again.
What I liked most about winCo is that they have variety of foods. All types of nuts, one can make their own fresh peanut butter. Customer service was great and the staff were helpful and kind. Waiting in line took less than 2 minutes compare to other stores
