Beef short rib (Kalbi) was def one of the best we had. When I ordered they said about 25-30 min, but then they called my name after 5-10 minutes (thank you!). Appreciate services where they give you an estimate time and beats it. When I went in, it gave me Kim’s Convenience vibes, don’t hate meeee, but it was nice! Nostalgic and lovely. They had Korean snacks, kimchi and usual convenient store goodies. Super close to bart so check them out. Not a collab. Ig@blacktigereats

Despite its name, this is not only a grocery store but mainly a Korean food take out restaurant dishing out ample and delicious Korean grilled chicken, pork, beef, and other delicacies. The place gets quite busy if you drop in without placing a phone order ahead of time.

Wow. Had to make my first google review after trying this. I remember going to emeryville public market for a good Korean to go plate. This one is even better. The noodles are perfectly seasoned. The spicy pork is phenomenal. The spices and accents with tang and a hint of a subtle melting soft rich flavor. The portions are amazing . The real deal . Good guy good people . Good food . Glad this place exists for the folks around here. Saranghae

Incredibly authentic Korean food that tastes just like home cooking. Every bite feels comforting. And unlike most spots in SF, it won’t drain your wallet - amazing quality for such a great price!

6/18/2025: 2025 update. Bart Grocery & BBQ is not the best Korean food I have had. But that's not the point. They are pretty good. The restaurant smells like sweet Korean BBQ when you walk in because they grill the meat right there. I still miss the old husband & wife team that retired in 2020. It felt more homey when they were around. Today I had the tofu soup $14 and marinated chicken $14 for lunch. I can't believe I've never had their tofu soup before. It was surprisingly good. There are bits of meat with big pieces of tofu, and a surprise pot sticker in there. The marinated chicken tasted the same. Now they give a little cup of kimchi. It took about 25 minutes for my food to be ready at 12pm via phone order. Original review: The husband and wife team and/or their kids weren't working tonight. I miss the warm welcome she used to give her customers. The food remains the same, very good. The menu hasn't been updated for like 10 years. The new chefs are pretty good. My food was ready in 15 minutes.

Noticed right away the pricing has gone up. Got the chicken and japchae. Too bad they only have spicy pork - no non-spicy. It’s nice they grill the meat while you wait. The servings are generous. Japchae lacked flavor. I had to add sesame oil and some soy sauce to flavor it up. The chicken was bland too. Luckily I had some teriyaki sauce. The kimchi was super bland too and not spicy at all. Glad I had some kimchi in the fridge. I may go back to try the other options. Not the hype in my opinion.

Ordered marinated chicken, beef short ribs, kimchi fried rice and bibimbap. The chicken was flavorful and had the char taste to it. It came with japche, salad and rice. The beef short ribs was the best that I have ever had. Juicy and flavorful and the char made it delicious. Kimchi fried rice is tasty and not overpowering by kimchi. Bibimbap had veggies, ribeye, chili pepper sauce and rice. This was more of a bland dish to me and the chili pepper sauce wasn't to my liking. Overall the food was very good and I would eat here again. It took about 20 minutes from ordering to getting your food. We ordered right at 11am when they open the doors.
