I bought three tilapia, and your fish team was instructed to cut each of them into three pieces. When I got home, I discovered that one of the fish was missing and had been kept by your team. This is very disappointing, Hong kong market dallas. You really need to ensure you have trustworthy and responsible people running your business.
I had a very disappointing experience at Hong Kong Market in Dallas. On this visit, a security guard approached me in an aggressive and hostile manner, telling me the store was closed. I was already inside the store at 8:02 PM and simply trying to quickly grab Benadryl for my toddler, who was having an allergic reaction and needed immediate relief. I was also trying to get this medication with the upcoming storm in mind, knowing that many shops were expected to be closed for the next three days. This made the situation even more urgent. I completely understand store hours and policies. What I do not understand or accept is being spoken to aggressively, especially when I was calm, respectful, and dealing with a situation involving my child’s health. There is absolutely a better and more professional way to communicate with customers. I have been a loyal shopper at this store for a long time, but after being treated so poorly and made to feel like I did something wrong when I didn’t, I will no longer be returning. I am naturally a very calm person, so this encounter genuinely caught me by surprise. Customer service matters, and no one deserves to be treated this way, especially in an urgent situation involving a child. If there was a negative review, I would put it.
Hong Kong Market on Walnut and Audelia is a great place for me because of its wide array of fresh produce, exotic fruits, and a massive selection of spices and condiments that you won't find in regular supermarkets. When I need food that are normal to where I grew up, this is my go-to place. The variety is impressive, with aisles dedicated to Chinese, Vietnamese, Korean, Thai, and Japanese products. Fortunate for me, Polynesians eat very similar foods to Asian countries. So whether you're searching for the perfect ingredients to recreate your favorite Asian dishes or looking to discover new flavors, this market has it all. The seafood section is particularly noteworthy, offering an extensive range of fresh fish, shrimp, crabs, and more. The quality is top-notch, and the prices are very reasonable. 👍👍
I just went to have lunch, but I ended up browsing the grocery store a bit. They have a huge selection of food from all around the world, it seems, mostly Asia.
The only reason we drove all the way to Dallas for this place was for the bitter melon, I was NOT disappointed! They had 2 different options so I got 6 of each type. If the melons do what they were intended for (BG control) then we'll be back often. If not they're still a great place to get all the ingredients for those Asian recipes we want to start making at home 😀
I have been shopping at the Hong Kong Market Place for over 20 years. Everything is very easy to locate. You don't even need to ask a lot of questions about locating items. Items are very easy to locate. The most amazing thing is the Fresh Sea Food section. I buy both live or non-live catfish, crabs, lobsters, crawfish, clams. They have different kinds of fish. This is the only place I buy fish. It's really awesome
The incident was yesterday (july30.2025) i bought an expired food and i didn’t know about that because i trusted them, so what happen i ate an expired food (i have receipts and pictures of expired food) today, they just refund me 3.99 dollars and they didn’t advised or at least give me a medical test just to be sure if i am ok or not. I don’t trust them anymore. Hongkong market in dallas, is not a trusted market anymore. To all consumers, be careful of what you bought in that market, it was a scary experience.
