China's Mid-Autumn Festival is a day for family reunions. There are many people shopping, and the scene is bustling. The goods are abundant and fresh. The shopping malls are spacious and clean, and the snacks are rich and varied, delicious and fragrant. It is full of rich oriental colors and is a good place for shopping, leisure, participating in activities and tasting delicious food.
Visited 88 Market for the first time—great experience! There’s free parking across the street, which is super convenient. On the first level, you’ll find a hot pot restaurant, a boba shop, a Korean fried chicken spot, and a few other shops around the corner. Take the escalator upstairs, and you’ll see a mix of ready-to-eat food stalls on the right and a large Asian grocery store further down. The market has tons of unique snacks and products you won’t find in regular grocery stores—I even grabbed some Chicken-flavored Lay’s chips. I tried the spicy beef noodle soup from C-Foods (the first restaurant you see upstairs). The noodles were thick and chewy—more like linguine than ramen—and the broth was rich, flavorful, and packed with tender beef and finely chopped veggies. For the kids, we picked up chicken potstickers and shrimp & pork dumplings from another stall. They came with three sauces: a Sichuan-style vinegar, soy sauce, and a chili sauce that was so good it was addictive. Overall, 88 Market is a fun spot with great food variety, clean setup, and authentic flavors—definitely worth checking out.
By far the largest market I have ever been. Anything I was looking for I found. Definitely a place to check out.
This mall is cute. The 88 marketplace is inside Jefferson Square. It has much variety and it’s a huge place. The prices are fair but not cheapest. But the fact that you will find like 10 aisles of candy and chips and snacks is enough to come here. There are like 6 rows of just frozen dumplings. It’s on a second level after you go up an escalator. It has a seafood and meat section as well. If you want and need variety for pan Asian food you should come here. Free and massive parking lot which is hard to find in the city of Chicago. Has so much here and pan Asian food and restaurants. It's a place anyone should go to find all kids of goodies including slippers seafood candy cookies veges fruit bakery seaweed meat and plates and so much more. They have live seafood.
Best Asian grocery food market near Chinatown area with free parking. Some Chinese famous style restaurant and a tasty food court. Also, there are some Asian stylish and traditional store too. The asian market is clean, fresh and wide variety.
We came in and spent $40 on teas and food. The lady was RUDE and extremely impatient. She got upset we changed our mind from a small to a large. She was rude to my 11year old son raising her voice at him and my mom. To top off the experience they got our drink wrong. We had no complicated order or anything to set her off. Just a bad experience overall
Great spot for grabbing any type of Asian ingredients. The building where this grocery store is located is very nice and modern. The bathrooms are decently clean but not the cleanest. The restaurants are nice as most of them have a very convenient way of ordering but when it's busy, it's busy. We ordered our food but didn't get a text that it was ready until 10 minutes later. Thankfully, I checked with the food vendor and it was made before we got the text. We did not try the hot pot on the first floor but the restaurants on the top floor were great! The food from all of the places are excellent choices of Chinese food. Can't go wrong with any of them as they all looked and smelled delicious. The products in the grocery parts are all very well organized. The meats, veggies, seafood and other products looked fresh. You'll be able to find all sorts of Asian snacks, coffee, tea, candy and much more here. We didn't have any trouble finding the same snacks that we have at our local asian grocery store. The parking lot is packed but there is a second lot not too far from the building. We came here on a Sunday afternoon and the first parking lot was full. The surrounding area is a bit sketchy so remember to lock your door. Other than that, nothing happened to our car. Overall, an excellent Asian store with amazing Chinese foods available.
