BUNGTLA ASIAN MARKET

Fresh produce on Grant! As an Asian this is my go-to supermarket on the Westside. Fresh vegetables and fruits restock weekly. Variety of dried goods and cooking ingredients with many from south Asian origin. I always get good quality bak choi and choi sum and shitake mushroom there. Their instant noodle collection is also wonderful. They also sell frozen pork and beef in different cuts from a farm in rochester. Owner is very friendly and approachable. Happy for the Westside and Grant community!

I love this store here in Buffalo. They have fresh seasonal SE Asian produce that is so memorable. It’s so nice when anyone in the store stops and helps me with my curiosity. I believe what I tried one of the last times I went here is called krapao in Thai or something similar and that was one of the most delicious herbs I’ve ever tasted. I like frozen durian too, mangosteen, green papayas, mangos, dragonfruit, delicious rices/noodles, and banana blossoms. I can do some pretty wonderful cooking magic with the ingredients from here and I’m sure i’ll discover more. I real enjoy these Burmese small colorful eggplant varieties and the deep fried mung beans. I wish more of the Burmese, Thai, Vietnamese etc restaurants in the area offered more dishes with more herbs, greens, vegetables, and wild foraged food like fresh bamboo like I find here.
