This Asian grocery store has a good selection of canned goods, dry noodles, seasoning mixes, and frozen items. You can usually find a variety of products that are hard to get elsewhere, which is a plus. However, the service is terrible. Be cautious at checkout — the cashier has a habit of double-scanning items, so always check your receipt carefully before leaving. Their deli section is hit or miss. The raw lamb is popular, but sometimes it seems like they use old meat — which can make you sick for days. The taro coconut nava dessert can be delicious when fresh, but other times it tastes like it’s been sitting out for too long. Overall, this place operates like a typical Asian business model — minimal customer service, inconsistent quality, and prices that are on the higher end. Worth stopping by for a few specialty items, but definitely inspect what you buy and check your receipt.

I knew about Golden Lion from an Instagram reel a few months ago that showed its diverse hot food section. When I visited it on a Sunday noon, the hot food was minimal, not like what I saw online. The market has a wide range of Asian produce (from a Vietnamese perspective). However, the "fresh" meat section had a strong, unpleasant smell. I bought a bag of prepackaged shredded pork skin (bì) from the frozen section, but it had a somewhat bad smell upon opening and went rancid after just one day. If I have to shop there again, I’d stick to the non-fresh produce section.

This is the most favorite Asian store of Vietnamese community in Brooklyn Park and neighborhood cities. This store have been there doe 16+ years and we love it.

Fresh veggies which I love. Good amount of other items such as sauce and frozen goods. Fresh meat selections but I did ran into a some occasions where I purchased the meat and was starting to smell already (ground pork). No longer buy meat from here. I’ve shopped here for few years now and had always loved their deli but have noticed some changes. Price for spring rolls had gone up over the years but the size of the spring rolls and shrimp had gone down. The Bahn Mi used to be filled with veggies and meat but now it has also gone down. Barely meat and veggies, basically bread now. Sadly, I’ve stopped buying sandwiches from here too. I love their raw laab, but same thing, price went up but qty goes down.

I bought the Moon Cake from Golden Lion Supermarket on Edinburgh Centre Drive 2 days ago. After I got home, I found out the the Moon Cake was still in seal plastic wrap with " Mold " inside. I went back to Golden Lion and ask to exchange since there were " mold" on the Moon Cake and we can’t eat it. The Manager name " Kyle " came out and without even looking at the Moon Cake told me there are no exchange or return on the Moon Cake, all sale are final and start walking away. After talking to him for several minutes he literally told me to deal with it and there’s nothing he will do about it. So I asked him do you want me to eat this molding moon cake and his reply was You need to deal with it.

Small grocery store but clean and organized, is have a little deli inside the store.
