H Mart Brookline

Fine selection of South Korean goods and produce. Wished there were more instant/convenient prepared food options but I understand that this was a grocery store and not a restaurant. Thank you for being one of the few stores that were opened on Christmas Day.

H Mart Brookline is a great addition to the other Asian supermarkets within the Brookline area. This H Mart is significantly limited compared to the Burlington and Quincy ones, lacking a self-serve KBBQ meat section as well as limited options for other Korean goods. Despite this, they still have a lot of Korean and Asian goods, such as Sashimi, Banchan, and other goods needed to create Korean dishes. Another lacking area is the lack of a food court in this location, although they do sell premade meals such as pastries and onigiri here.

My partner and I are regular customers at H mart in Brookline, but we had a terrible and shocking experience with a cold food dish purchased from the prepared food section tonight. We were about halfway trough eating the dish when we discovered a dead, spider-like bug embedded in the food. The discovery was incredibly upsetting. Meanwhile, we both started to experience a stomach ache. While we can't be 100% certain it was caused by the food, the timing is a major concern. This is a serious food safety and hygiene issue. We are deeply disappointed and hope the management takes this very seriously.

I usually go to Burlington h-mart, but could not resist when we were in Brookline to check it out. From outside, I thought it was a "baby" h-mart but it turned to be quite specious inside. The odd shape makes it easy to get lost. It took me a while to find my way to the check out counter.

I like it. It has many side dishes and frozen korean dishes. Big choice of Ramen too. I like meats (variety parts) well divided.

Great store. The variety is much better than I thought would be available. The produce, the pre-prepped section with veggies, meats, seafood, sauces. Items like marinated eggs, marinated tofu. A great grab and go noodle bowl for $8 which could easily serve 2-3. Sushi section, Kimchi section, prepped seafood section, frozen and fresh meats. An enormous variety of soy sauce, hoisin, fish sauce, noodles, meats and seafood. And- so many other things you may not imagine like standard grocery items like nutella, crackers, chips, milk, eggs, spices (eg basil, dill, onion powder), personal hygiene products, pans, utensils, various kitchen gadgets. This is a great sized grocery store ( smaller than regular). Easy to navigate, well laid out, well lit. You can truly do a full grocery shopping here, not just for specialty items. Customer service was a bit nonexistent. Not unpleasant but no one engaging with me or assisting with my experience. I did observe at least one gentleman who appeared to be security as he lingered in the aisles and repeatedly paused to watch people. He didn't have any belongings or groceries. He nor any other uniformed employee didn't ask if we needed any help. Cashier didn't engage at all other than to ask if we needed a bag.

The cleanliness and organization of the store are top-notch, making the shopping experience a breeze. The staff is always friendly, helpful, and willing to assist you in finding whatever you need. HMART is an absolute gem for all your Asian grocery needs.
