I had been waiting to submit my complaint until you asked me for feedback on my recent purchase, but then I saw you yourselves rate MY experience and inform ME via email how YOU think you performed. On top of that, the link on your website to contact you doesn’t work. So I’ll submit my concern here, on a public forum, because you are sorely mistaken on the quality of your service. Why do you not bag raw meat for customers of curbside pickup? When I select "bring my own bags" for my pickup orders, that should (and does everywhere else in the country that I have lived) apply to the bagging of regular groceries—it shouldn’t mean you don’t take the time to bag produce and especially raw meat. Bringing reusable bags to take the place of plastic or paper grocery sacks is not a substitute for meat and poultry bags. It doesn’t mean "yes, please do go ahead and sling raw meat covered in its own juices right into my reusable bags so that it leaks all over my other groceries and the inside of my trunk." In what universe is it acceptable to not bag raw meat separately? That’s why meat/poultry/produce bags exist and are literally within reaching distance of those items in the store. Thanks to your carelessness, I arrived home after picking up my groceries to a trunk full of raw chicken juice which had cross contaminated all over the other items in my personal reusable bags, ruining my bags, the trunk, and the groceries I had just purchased. You’re the only store I’ve ever shopped at that doesn’t use common sense in supplying produce and meat bags to curbside pickup customers. The lack of attention to detail, the lack of care, and the lack of accountability is staggering. Do better.
That's a nice supermarket! Lots of items and I was particularly interested by the food. The prices are fair and you can find a lot of good processed food. Hotdog for cheap price, wine with a special discount for members, you can find very good deals. The supermarket is also nice to walk inside. Check the sandwiches and salads. Membership card is very easy to acquire when you go to the cashier. It's worth to have one!
I had to leave a good review when I saw that Safeway Shattuck Place a few blocks down had a higher review. What are you smokin’ people?! Andronico’s provides much better customer service. Some of their employees have been here for years… telling. The store is more manageable than Safeway with a better selection. Of course I miss the original Andronico’s with all its product selection, but Safeway did manage to do a good job, to create a lesser simulacrum. They should probably stop the whole neighborhood from parking here in order to go to Cheeseboard. Since they’re providing such an important local amenity, how could you ingrates give them low stars!?
Andronico’s is a small chain of grocery stores which is a slightly more upscale version of Safeway. I prefer them to Safeway when there is an Andronico’s nearby, they have better produce and better fish and meat. The prices are fairly similar and they tend to be a little easier to get in and out of.
This place is super conveniently located near my house and prices are fair. I always come here, no issues. Ian M is seriously the kindest person and stays putting a smile on people’s faces. I had to wait a bit for the self checkout assistance, and Ian came over promptly and apologized for the wait. 10/10 recommend Andronico’s!
Just a smaller, worse, more expensive Safeway. I really don’t know why anyone would ever shop here. The meat selection was bad and super expensive. The produce section was not good either. No good specialty items that caught my eye. Basically just felt robbed. Will never return.
Terrible, dismissive customer service. It used to be a great grocery store years ago before Safeway / Albertson’s took over. Now you can pay more for groceries, experience less choice and receive impertinent treatment by the cashier. I noticed the produce rang up a different price and attempted to inquire about it, only to be interrupted to put my phone number into the payment machine. Honestly, if you have to shop here, you’d be better off using the automatic check out. In retrospect, I wish I’d remained with that option. As a side note, if you’d like cash back with your transaction, do not tap your debit card.
