UPDATE: LOVE how their "suki" comes to the rescue editing their posts after 1 is left stating FACTS. Sorry, not everyone is treated with the same service. No need to keep editing posts to try to convince others, clearly if it was same across the board, it wouldn't have been brought up! 🤦♀️ Customer for years. Used to be a welcoming store, no longer the case since new owners. 1 male and 1 female are very unwelcoming unless you're a friend of theirs. The other couple, on the other hand, are much nicer. Daphne used to be such a light to all her customers. The vibe has been so different since they sold it. No hi, no thank u...just stares and the only word you'll hear is your total. No longer worth the drive.
I had no idea there was an Asian market around Beaverton that specializes in Filipino goods. For a store of small size, U-Need has a lot of what one may need to make Asian food at home. I wanted to buy some Mirin at a cheaper price than what is offered at Fred Meyer's and easily got some here, along with instant Pancit Canton. They have a lot of good snacks worth checking out and prices are fair. Staff is friendly and helpful. I'll be back for more.
Great little convince market. Lots of Philippines items. Mostly dry/bottled and frozen goods, a very small amount of fresh - like bananas, etc. I run by here to grab things I need and don't want to drive too far. Prices are fair.
Stopped going after the new owners took over. You go in and you don't get a hi, hello or thank you. Ring you up in silence. Also $9 for dry ahh ube bread over a yr ago was my last straw. Never went back since.
Not much fresh produce but it will fulfill the most basic Filipino products cravings. They have fresh baked items on Wednesdays.
The U-Need Asian Market is yet *another* ethnic grocery, this one chock-a-block with everything from the Far East, from sauces to snacks, rice to condiments. Families strolled through while I was taking photos, the kids happily selecting sweets, the mothers picking up and chatting about staples, whilst the fathers hung by the front door, managing the mayhem. It's great to know there are all these cornucopia scattered about Beaverton, waiting to fill your every ethnic cooking need. U-Need Asian Market does a good job of helping out.
I went in yesterday and today. definitely small isles - but the store has loads of awesome things. the woman there was really nice as well.
