Suffering from severe Japan withdrawals, we found this place. It is a fabulous oasis of all things asian food oriented. With a well stocked diverse selection of items you can't go wrong here. Even if you are only browsing you will not leave empty handed. It even has a small snack bar if you are a bit peckish. Impeccably clean and with an excellent, friendly and helpful staff, Asiana Market rates the highest recommendstion.
This is probably the biggest asian store in town. The ramen selection is ok though they dont carry a couple ones that I usually get, but it does have the largest selection of specialty veggies. It had a decent selection of some Indian ingredients, but I will likely continue to go to the Indian market near me as they woild obviously have more of a selection. I was impressed by their produce selection and seafood selection and loved how things were laid out and easy to find. The prices are reasonable and honestly they are the only one of the three asian markets I frequent that carries my Kings oolong tea. It is a bit pricey but considering the quality and quantity it is still reasonable for high quality oolong tea. It is a bit out of my way as I no longer work on that end of town but still worth the occasional trip out there for specific items that I might not find elsewhere. I have not had thr pleasure of trying their hot food stand in the front but it did look and smell delicious. A women standing next to me as I was looking told me the food there was delicious. I meant to go back and try it but haven't been able to time my visits to match when the stall is open.
This place operates much better than before when it was a restaurant buffet. I've been going here regularly for groceries and wide variety of asian products. The produce is very fresh and reliable. It's never crowded here and I've gone many different days of the week and various times. Parking lot is big and also never congested. I love the wide and clean aisles, employees are knowledgeable and eager to assist if I'm looking for something. I love getting their spring rolls, they're very good for the price and perfect mid-day snack or light lunch.
We love stopping by here when in town. There's always a great selection of produce and so many things to try. Great snack selection too.
This grocery store is the largest Asian grocery near Asheville and we were looking forward to check it out. Great parking and even a covered loading bay. Store is clean and aisles are wide but we were a bit disappointed with the range of products. We were not able to find several items and probably have to head to one of those smaller Asian groceries.
My only complaint is that I wish it was closer to Saluda. It's sad that the buffet is gone but this was a genius idea to make this space into a market. A huge selection of packaged goods, a good amount of produce, and the seafood while small still has some things you won't see at a lot of American grocery stores.
I didn't get pictures. The moment we walked in someone greeted us and as we were looking at the buffet (in front of store) We decided to look around market first come back to check out buffet. This is one of the best Asian markets I've been in.Clean organized and many items I want to try. So after getting stuff we want went up front ordered a chicken dinner that was boxed up with rice and a pickled vegetables and I ordered the green beans my favorite and the sauce on these were lighter most places they over season them and I loved them. Thanks for dinner.
