Maruichi Japanese Food and Deli

This Japanese Deli offers a plethora of dishes that are truly unique to Asians, including a variety of riceballs called Onigiri in Japanese. Adorable Cat-feet-shaped desserts. Also has Sake Kirimi, Saba Kirimi, Sake Lees Salt, Saba with miso & Mirin, and even Salmon Ara. Whether you've seen these foods before or not, they're sure to surprise you. The music playing in the store also has a distinctly Japanese feel.

Maruichi is a small Japanese market offering Japanese dishes, groceries, and home goods within the Arlington Area. There is another location in Brookline as well. The Arlington one, in comparison, caries fewer items but still stocks many of the essentials such as sashimi grade fish, meals, and more. The staff are friendly and overall it's a wonderful shopping experience if you are looking for Japanese goods in the area.

This is one of my favorite places to get groceries! It's not a huge space, but they really make every square inch count. It's filled with the best selection of Japanese foods and ingredients of any Asian market I've visited in Boston. If you need a quick snack, don't miss the fresh onigiri!

First visit and loved it. Got so many japanese product. I am new to japanese grocery and food shopping, so I am not sure you will find all you want but I felt they got lots of choices. Definitely, go back.

Great experiences on the few times I’ve visited. They offer very authentic Japanese grocery and take out bento foods. The price is definitely a bit more than what you can find in larger chain groceries but they really have some special items that I can’t find in other Asian supermarkets. The food i bought are always super delicious and freshly made. It’s a decent size market albeit a little smaller than their original Brookline location but definitely so much easier to park here as they have a parking lot by the side and much easier to get to by car. I’d highly recommend this place for some delicious Japanese take out foods.

Hands down one of the coolest places in Brookline for buying delicious snacks, lunch, bakery, and exciting drinks. They literally have everything and they are centrally located in Coolidge Corner with great access to public transportation. I highly suggest trying their bakeries and lunch packs. The checkout line is very quick and they accept Apple Pay. The store is very well-maintained, new, and clean.

So happy to have a real Japanese grocery store in Arlington. It was clean and I felt safe with their covid protocols. Cabbage pancake thingie was surprisingly tasty and filling. My entire family is now in love with their ramen. Both wavy ramen noodle and soup was so good!
