Please don’t come here, I never write reviews but this place is horrible. Brought my son here for them to look at a rash, they couldn’t figure out what was causing it then stated it could cause permanent scarring on my child’s head. The receptionist in the front is nasty and there communication is the worse. I had to come back three times for something that they couldn’t treat. Go somewhere else unless you want to be aggregated.
Booked a last minute appointment the night before for the next day. At 8am that morning, I received a notification that the NP, Alexis Devens rescheduled my 10am and moved me to 4:30pm without consulting me first. When I called the office to ask what happened I was told "she was no longer available in the morning and could only see me at 4:30" so I cancelled my plans to make the appointment. On my way there, I witnessed an accident on the road as I was nearing the office.. so I called the front desk at 4:25pm and said I am going to be a few minutes late but I will be there shortly and I was told it shouldn’t be an issue as they typically allow up to 15 minutes grace. I told the man "no problem! I will be there well before those 15 minutes"- At exactly 4:30pm I get call back and was told she was canceling my appointment. When I asked "why?" the man told me she had to leave the office now. I was a little confused as to why she suddenly had to leave and so I responded "my appointment should have just started this minute.. would she be leaving my appointment if I was in your office?" and was told that "if I had been here at 4:30 she would have seen me but since this is her last slot of the day she doesn’t allow a grace period for those patients and leaves the office" I WAS 3 MINUTES AWAY and just spent 40 minutes driving to get there. I understand patients being carelessly late but to not even allow a 5 minute grace period considering there are no patients following that appointment is horrible. especially when I was supposed to see her in the morning and she changed me to the afternoon. So I had to turn around and go back home
Update 8/5/2025 I’m very disappointed in my NP after my procedure I was told a prescription ointment would be sent. She never sent it and when I reached out the following day, I never received a response. It’s been over a week now and I never received a response. I also sent her a medical question to ask her and she didn’t even respond to that. This makes me feel like she doesn’t care about her patients. Anyways, I ended up just using Vaseline. It was my first time coming to this location and I had a skin tag on my neck that was really uncomfortable. They removed it for me and I feel so much better now. It was very uncomfortable and they were very kind and caring and really took the time to make me feel comfortable. I was really nervous before I went to my appointment but after that I was ok. It wasn’t really painful for me and I have a low pain tolerance. I highly recommend coming here for your dermatology needs.
Review for Dr. Devens and staff If I could give zero stars, I would. My mother, who has progressive MS and can barely walk, had an appointment here for mole removals across her back. We drove 45 minutes to get here, even calling the office about 45 minutes in advance to let them know we would be running late because of police activity and major road construction. Despite that, when we arrived 16 minutes late, they flat out refused to see her. I explained the situation to the receptionist — that my mother’s condition makes travel very difficult and that this was part of an ongoing medical procedure. The response I got was cold and dismissive. The receptionist didn’t care about anything other than the fact that I was "speaking loudly." She even threatened to call the cops because I raised my voice out of frustration, while showing zero empathy for the fact that my disabled mother had struggled to get there at all. The worst part? My mother had to hobble back in herself only to be told she shouldn’t come back. Let’s be honest — this is what happens when you’re a Medicaid patient and the doctor has a "God complex." Patients with the "right" insurance probably wouldn’t be treated this way. Now we have to start the process all over again with another dermatologist, wasting more time and putting my mother through more stress than she should ever have to endure. If you value compassion, basic decency, or accessibility for people with serious health conditions — do not come here. Make sure you have the "best" insurance and show up perfectly on time, because otherwise, you’ll be treated horribly. This experience was demeaning, exhausting, and unnecessary.
I walked in about 10 minutes before my appointment the young lady sitting as the receptionist looked at me and resumed back to her cell phone(she didn’t greet or smile) . I stood there waiting and watching her for about 45 seconds before she finally put her cellphone down and I proceeded to let her know my name and the time of my appointment. The waiting area was empty. I waited about seven minutes to be called into a room and I waited about another 10 to 15 minutes for my provider to come see me. I felt like she rushed the visit. Which took less than 5 minutes. I see why this location doesn’t have good reviews.
I really like this location. The space is clean and inviting. The staff greets you nicely and there’s no long wait time. I will keep coming to this location.
I had a really great experience at Schweiger Dermatologist Group. As soon as I walked in I was greeted with a smile and felt welcomed. I was Actually scheduled for a different day and didn’t notice, they were able to squeeze me in so I was able to be seen. The Dr was amazing and knowledgeable she went above and beyond to make sure she helped me with all my concerns. Schweiger Dermatologist Group Thank you 🙏🏽
