Wilmington Health Internal Medicine - Porters Neck

Dr. Hunter Mclaughlin and his staff were excellent. This was my first visit after the retirement of my previous physician, Dr Daum of 25 years. I was very impressed that he reviewed my chart the day before my visit and asked good follow-up questions with good feedback. He was easy to talk to and his explanations were clear and easy to understand. I was impressed with the amount of time he spent with me. I really like the Porters Neck location as it is only 5 minutes from my house without the 17 street traffic jams!

I’ve been coming to Wilmington Health Porters neck branch for years. The elevated level of care & common courtesy is the only reason I continued with this franchise. However today I had the pleasure of being helped by Ms. Crystal and she was brilliant! She was at once knowledgeable & efficient. The 2 things that made her truly shine in her service was that she 1). She wasn’t miserable in her countenance (nor was she a brown noser). 2). Which is TRULY the precipice of this compliment, Ms. Crystal CARES! Whether it’s about me, the individual, the quality of her work, or how it reflects on herself, she CARES. Please give Ms. Crystal some worthwhile distinction & possibly have her help nurture more positivity & accountability. Please know I intimately know how difficult we the public & we the corporations can be. Thank You Ms. Anne for unselfishly acknowledging & elevating your subordinates.

I am so disgusted with Wilmington Health. Not necessarily the physicians but policy that WHA implements. I had to take my 91 yr old mom to the clinic as she tested positive at home WITH COVID, feeling awful only to be asked a couple of questions and then sent home with a Rx. Virtual visits for a Positive diagnosis of COVID are ridiculous too. It's all about $$$$ not the patient! Also, my husband had an ER visit and referred to a urologist and told to let his primary physician know. Now his primary doctor wants him to schedule an office visit!!! WHY? He's seeing a specialist!!! Oh wait...$$$ ! One more thing... why isn't WHA linking with other medical facilities like Novant, Duke etc???? Get with it WHA! Your customer service sucks!

I cannot speak for the entire facility, but I would not recommend Oliver Hodgkins PA. This provider has a superiority complex, a bad attitude, and is overly sensitive. With a bedside manner like that he probably should not be treating patients.The staff is unresponsive to messages, even if you indicate that it is time sensitive and urgent. If paying for medical services, like most of us are doing, we should not be treated this way.

Always professional and thorough. Dr Forystek and staff are great.

Being my first visit, after 20 years with my previous GP, I was quite nervous. From the office staff, Felicia, to the CMA, Hattie to Nurse Populus, everyone was kind, patient and caring. Thank you for a warm first visit. I’m glad to have you as my new team of health care professionals - W. Herring

Michelle populus NP is great. Like her much better than previous. Very responsive to my concerns
