I learned so much while waiting in the exam room because they have a large tablet on the wall with all kinds of skin information, links, and videos to watch while waiting! What a fabulous idea! Everything here is so clean and nice. Dr. Boudreaux is so kind and knowledgeable! She makes the awkward appt flow well and has great bedside manner. I recommend her to everyone! The front office staff are also competent, friendly, and efficient.
I scheduled with this dermatology office after a very poor experience with my first dermatology exam elsewhere. Over the past year, I’ve been dealing with skin issues that started as contact dermatitis and turned into persistent dryness, reactivity, and flare-ups. My skin has not felt normal since. My goal for this visit was simple: get guidance on safe moisturizing options while using prescription Soolantra, since it has helped in some ways, but has made my skin extremely dry and unbearably uncomfortable. Before booking, I specifically called to confirm that their dermatologists could help with skincare guidance. I was told yes and was told they sell products in-office and could help me choose options there, or guide me elsewhere. Because of that, I felt confident booking an appointment. Before my appointment, my skin worsened significantly and I developed a severe flare. I called again and asked if someone could help me look through their products to find something safe for extremely dry, reactive skin. I was told yes, come in, and someone would help me. When I arrived, I was told they would not help me choose a product because they are not dermatologists, but I could schedule a next-day dermatology appointment, which I did. The next day, I brought my current skincare routine (recommended by my esthetician, except prescription Soolantra). I explained my main concern was dryness and reactivity while using Soolantra cream, and asked for general guidance on moisturizers commonly considered safe to pair with it. I was told she "doesn’t do that" and that I should just try different things until I figure out what works. I told her that she would probably scold me if I came to an appointment with boils all over my face because I tried to wing-it, instead of seeking professional care. I understand skincare is individualized, but I was looking for some professional guardrails to avoid making my skin worse. She said she recommends the products I am already using. Throughout the appointment, I felt assumptions were made about me instead of questions being asked. For example, she picked up my rose-water facial spray and said I bought it for the "fancy packaging" and needed to stick to simple products instead of buying something because it’s pink. If she had looked at the ingredients on the "fancy packaging" or asked why I chose it, she would have seen that it lists only two ingredients: rose and water. She asked if I had been to a dermatologist before. I said yes and mentioned I had felt dismissed previously, which is why I needed extra support. Without asking about my experience, she said, "I don’t think you were dismissed." I mentioned my original contact dermatitis from a cleaning product to provide context. She told me it was in the past and said I was "obsessing" over my skin and needed to move on. I had woken up that morning with severe dryness and a new rash, so this was difficult to hear. I was also told skin changes with age and I need to accept that. I am in my 30s and am comfortable with normal aging, but not with symptoms like burning, itching, crawling sensations, and rash. I don’t expect doctors to solve every problem, but I do expect to be listened to, asked clarifying questions, and taken seriously when describing ongoing symptoms. I again left a dermatology visit feeling dismissed. I am giving this visit 2 stars because the dermatologist did answer one medical question: she confirmed I could try mixing Soolantra with my night cream to potentially reduce dryness. While I appreciate the effort she made to be professional in that one instance, I can’t trust guidance from a derm who doesn’t trust my lived experience. The appointment was of no value to me, and I should have walked out the moment I first observed her dismissive behavior.
My regular providers did not have appointments available until June 2026. I had been very stressed, but then called Frontier Dermatology at the end of December 2025. The person I talked to was immediately helpful, friendly and reassuring. Always a good sign when calling ANY business! Was able to get an appointment for January 28, 2026. At my appointment the check-in person, medical assistant and my doctor were all top-notch. My doctor assessed my problem and offered several treatment options. Best of all he reassured me that no matter what, my condition will/would have successful outcome. After many stressful months, I couldn't be more satisfied with Frontier Dermatology
Dr Bordeaux & staff was absolutely wonderful!! She was very thorough! Great appointment and really appreciate this Office. I will be back. This was my first office visit here. I might add I’m a nurse! Get good healthcare providers when I see them and she has one of them! FYI No one asked me to write a review. I decided to do that on my own.!!! I always wonder that when I read reviews. No one asked me to do this.
Lauren Boudreaux was absolutely amazing! She made me feel comfortable, and she listened to all my concerns. I feel like I had excellent service from the assistant and Dr Lauren! Overall it was an excellent experience for me, highly recommend!
Searched for new dermatologist after could not reach previous one through exhaustive phone tree or Ap to set appointment. Frontier was easy to contact and get appointment set in reasonable time. Real people from the office talk to you to set appointment. How refreshing. Doctor Haley was great- respectful and thorough for cancer screening. Highly recommended.
Greetings were very nice when checking in. Kathleen Herzog and her assistant were very helpful and through with my exam. Thank you all very much for making me feel at ease.
