OSVI Dermatology and Surgery Institute

I visited this office summer of 2025. I waited 10 minutes for someone to come to reception. I noticed a sign that said there was a $2.50 convenience fee for using a credit card $49.00 and under and a $3.50 charge for anything over $50.00. They're going to charge me $2.50 for a $5 copay? Fine. I'll just pay cash. I had to fill out forms on a tablet. I was required to fill out credit card information, even though I was paying cash. No medical office has ever required credit card information from me. EVER. I had to enter it twice because the program malfunctioned. Then the manager had to input it herself. There were two questions I declined to answer because they were totally inappropriate. Once I was taken back, I had to wait another 10 to 15 minutes while they verified I could be treated because the doctor that was in the office was a different doctor than was listed on my referral paperwork. The doctor that examined me was nice and professional and made a recommendation to freeze some spots on my face. Then she said I had to make an appointment to come back in 2 weeks for the freezing. WHAT???!!! I told her I have been having this done for years and I have always been treated the same day. She said because I have an HMO that they needed to get pre-authorization; otherwise, they might not pay. I asked her if this was a new policy because I have always had an HMO. She just reiterated that they needed to get pre-approval. Thank goodness I am retired. If I were still employed and I had to take another afternoon off work, I would have been furious! I reported all these things to my primary care. Now that I have a PPO, I would still never go back to this office because it left me was such a bad impression.

Dr. Kivnick is wonderful! It took me two years to find someone to help me, and she did a fantastic job. Office staff is professional and friendly, easy to make an appointment as well. Five stars.

Referred by our primary care for skin cancer check. Very quick to schedule, very efficient office . It can be hard or awkward to visit a "cosmetic " office for a medical reason but not here. As a senior citizen it is tough to undress and have a full body exam and I never once felt uncomfortable. Everyone is friendly quick and professional. And the good news is except for some pre cancer on my face everything else is just age with one small biopsy result negative.

Very nice office setting with friendly staff. I have been receiving Botox for 25 years and have been a patient of Nicole Younger's for the last 6. She is by far the best. I love her 'less is more' approach. I always feel natural and never frozen. I highly recommend.

I had an excellent experience. Originally my doctor referred me to another dermatologist but they would not see me until next year. I reminded my doctor that California law requires you to see been within 15 business days for a referral to a specialist and they then referred me to OSVI. They saw me within two days. It was a great experience and I will definitely be back for a full body check.

Had a small squamous cell item removed by Dr Tang . As always she was terrific, timely and very professional . I would highly recommend her and all others in the office!
