Dr Sheedy, her resident doctor, assistants. Brian at the desk is amazing. He deserves the black. He is a big deal. He called me about my appt several times (I’m hard of hearing.) He trains others. He is always so pleasant. All very efficient caretakers. Success for me today on two areas: cryosurgery, and basal skin carcinoma removal. Personable. Great advice with suggestions.

Dr. Alam was absolutely wonderful and I cannot recommend her enough! From start to finish, she was on time, professional and courteous with explaining my situation and providing aftercare recommendations. She made sure to ask for consent during the exam and I was respected as a patient and human being.

How on earth can I put my trust in a Dermatologist "clinic" with such low ratings from its patients? I can only surmise the UW Harborview Clinic is greatly dependent on government subsidies and seemingly has a disregard for those patients that pay or have insurance. The ratings of the Harborview Dermatology Clinic result in my not considering treatment at that location and also makes me hesitant in seeking care from the UW system. I hope the administrator takes the ratings seriously and announces them at a meeting with all those involved who can effect change. If not, I guess the government hand-outs are what keep them going.

I don't like leaving reviews, especially bad ones. A family member of mine was seen here for skin cancer, they let her know they would take a sample and take a look. That took about a week. After that, they said it was skin cancer not too late to treat and would require surgery. After they did not call to set up an appointment it has been about 2 months now and they won't return my calls I have left a good amount of voicemails. They are very hard to reach and you cannot make an appointment on the My Chart app. I understand you are a busy clinic but to have no communication as to status of a procedure or how long out in appointments you are out is not reasonable.

I received a call today from Harborview Dermatology Clinic. The message said they wanted me to schedule an appointment. I had no idea what that was about, so called the number she left for me. After 50 min of being on hold, I gave up. I tried to call several different numbers hoping for different results. All numbers funnel right back to UW Medicine main number. It's unacceptable that anyone should be made to wait on hold that long, not listen to the voice recording over and over. To make it worse, there is no other way to talk to someone. Hope there's nothing serious I need to be worrying about.

Go somewhere else if you can. Almost impossible to get an appointment. Plan on scheduling months out. Its been almost 2 years I've been trying to get a prescription medication for my son. Talk about medical abuse. They stalled so long that he had to return as a new patient with even lower priority for an appointment. Still haven't gotten the rx. Staff is clueless about holistic health; they maintain that diet and exercise have no effect on skin. They gave him several prescription topicals that made his skin worse. I finally tossed them and bought high quality products online and we saw immediate improvement. Go here for diagnosis only. Or better yet, see your PCP if you have one.

I have tried 4 times to make an appointment. 3times in the last two weeks. I am always put through to a person who takes my name and number and says someone will call me back in 24 hours. 3 of those 4 times, the person has said that they will put an urgent on the return call notice. I saw Dr DeNiro at Harborview Dermatology back when it had almost a 5 star rating. I loved Dr DeNiro. Whatever has happened to the department, apparently it has gone down the tubes.
