We were referred to Dermatology for Animals located in Scotsdale from our vet, we scheduled an appointment and then called a few days later to see if they had any cancellations and luckily we were able to get an appointment a few days earlier. The entire staff was awesome! We were greeted by the front office warmly and taken to a very clean and nice room, our animal tech was great, she listened attentively to our concerns and was very gentle with our big 111lb German Shepherd. We met Dr Frost and she was superb, her knowledge and experience were very helpful. She explained things so that they were easily understood and we agreed on a plan going forward. We had Dr. Frost and 3 treat dealers 😂 our Bodhi was smitten with all of the ladies and all of their attention. I would highly recommend this business for anyone needing a dermatologist.
Dr. Schick is great at picking up on the subtleties of allergies. She is up on the latest meds & is a good listener. I learn more with each visit & she definitely loves cats like I do. We feel so fortunate to have her caring for Georgie.
I truly can’t say enough kind things about this vet team—especially Dr. Ahmed. Though we only met them once, they still took the time to send a handwritten card after our sweet boy Bogey passed, and that alone speaks volumes. Yes, their services are on the pricier side—but that’s simply part of pet ownership. What matters more is that they’re not just in it for the money. They genuinely care about both the animals and the people who love them. They’ll answer all your questions without hesitation and support you with patience and compassion every step of the way. We did get answers, though unfortunately, not the kind we were hoping for. Bogey, our beloved pitbull, was diagnosed with skin cancer and passed just two weeks later. It was heartbreaking—but it meant the world to be under the care of a doctor who had personally experienced the same diagnosis. Without even having to share her story, she made it clear that she understood. That kind of quiet empathy is rare and deeply appreciated. While pain management only gave us two short weeks, I’m grateful for every moment we had. And I’m incredibly thankful we found a team that gave us truth, support, and kindness during such a difficult time. Unfortunately no amount of money would have saved bogey . Cancer sucks . Thank you for treating Bogey with the love and respect he deserved—and for the beautiful card that brought a little light to our grief.
Nothing but friendly and caring staff. I'm a veterinarian nurse in surgery at another hospital and respect for those in this industry. I was fit in really early dealing with paw skin issue. I loved Dr. Kim. My dog Lucy is an anxious dog and she loved being there & meeting all the staff. I will have a follow up soon with them. Would recommend to friends and family.
Dr. Shahleen is the best! Very caring and very thorough. My dog always gets the best care. She’s already feeling better after only a few days on her new treatment.
This is the best place for any pet with allergy issues. I have 2 Sphynx cats that have always had ear wax problems (common in the breed) and they have taken very good care of them. My babies are now much more comfortable and not itching so much causing skin irritation.
After a bad experience with VetMed, we found Dermatology For Animals to help us determine what our dog is allergic to. Dr. Frost and her technician, Madison, were not only knowledgeable they were extremely good with our dog who is high strung and not very easy to work with. Watching them interact with our dog put us at ease immediately. We look forward to a successful allergy treatment with Dr. Frost and Madison.
