I got service from the nurse Laila and she is so amazing! She was so kind and walked me through the entire procedure and the office staff was very nice. My expectations are always exceeded when I come to California Skin Institute! This is the place to go for fillers and Botox with Laila.

I arrive to the place for microneedling- the front desk asks me if i want numbing prior to procedure- i say yes and she tells me to walk to the room and i enter the room- 15 min later the RN walks in and asks if im numb- of course not, i was waiting for someone to do it (and never was i told i had to do it myself or given the supplies). The RN appears upset, takes a deep frustrated sigh, i hear her tell the front desk she doesn’t know if shell have enough time? Very very unprofessional- and worst part they took 0 accountability for poor communication to the client- apparently they wanted me to numb my own face? For the almost $390 dollars i pay- youd expect them to take care of everything- not coming back

My appointment went fine. One challenge is scheduing, my appointment was months away when I scheduled for an annual skin check up. Unfortunately the main problem came up when I tried to ask a clarifying follow up question for a treatment. I called and left messages twice, two different days, with no reply or call back. I called a third time the next week and someone picked up. She let me know that my dermatologist took two months off and nobody would be able to answer my question. (Is that why nobody ever called me back?). It is frustrating to be treated like this by businesses.

Friendly staff! Carrie Radliff is the most incredible. She talks you through breathing exercises while getting work done and is diligent and meticulous in the process. She goes above and beyond to connect and give extra tips. Thanks!

The CA Skin Institute space is clean and welcoming, all staff members are very nice. My follow up appointment was quick and informational, they got to me exactly on time and I left feeling good about our plan moving forward. I'll be back and would recommend!

Updated review: Since I started going here, I have seen three separate providers at this one location - they all leave after several months. The latest provider left before I could complete my appointment with them. It's disappointing to have providers come and go at this one location, especially since this part of the Central Coast has only a few local dermatologists available. Staff are very friendly, always. Suzy does a wonderful job with esthetician services. Hopefully a good provider (or two) will stay at this location for a long, long time. For now I will have to look elsewhere.

Dr Lauren Scotts is friendly and professional in a casual way that helps me feel very comfortable to ask any questions. I also appreciate how she collaborates with her assistant.
