I'm glad some people apparently have had a good experience with this office. Unfortunately, I did not. Several front desk attendants were more about socializing w each other than being patient-attentive/focused. Also, Dr. Norma K was polite and professional but clearly tried to dissuade me from following my dermatologists' advice to do SRT (superficial radiation therapy...the purpose of my visit was to do SRT at Dr. Klein's facility since my derm doesn't have the equipment for it) - she said SRT could cost me over $10K w a 70-80% success rate...I learned since the data shows this isn't true. I drove 45 minutes to get to the appointment - it was a letdown. Eventually got my SRT done at Hoag Hospital, very happy with it.

I’m honestly shocked this practice has a 5-star rating with over 700 reviews; that’s the main reason I chose them. This was my first appointment to establish care, and I was scheduled with a PA, not a dermatologist. No one gave me an option or explained this in advance. I assumed I’d be seeing a dermatologist, and while I respect PAs, I personally would have preferred a practitioner with more experience for an initial dermatology visit. The PA was polite during the appointment, but when I mentioned a condition my previous dermatologist had diagnosed, she said she had never heard of it. I later confirmed with my former dermatologist that this condition is commonly known and even appears on dermatology medical boards. Once she realized she wasn’t familiar with it, she did not write it down or show interest in learning more. The appointment felt transactional; like placing an order at a restaurant, rather than a thoughtful medical evaluation. They needed my prior dermatology records for a prior authorization, so I completed the authorization form before leaving. Two weeks passed with no follow-up. When I finally called, I spoke to the same PA, who said they had sent the request twice and received no response. At no point did anyone contact me to update me; I had to call them. I then contacted my previous dermatologist’s office directly, and they confirmed they never received any request at all. As of now, there has still been no follow-up. My appointment was January 13, and this remains unresolved. Overall, this was a disappointing experience, especially given the reputation and reviews that led me to choose this practice in the first place. My old place heard me out and their office manager gave me her cellphone if I should have any issues. I'm back with them and happy.

I had a lot of skin issues to discuss with Elena PA. She took the time and addressed all of them efficiently, effectively and professionally. Not to mention she is very pleasant and knowledgeable. My wife and I travel from Arizona just to see her. She found an invasive cancer on my wife’s nose which saved her nose! That was a big deal! Thanks to her nurse Cheryl, too. Thanks Elena. Glenn … M. Wonderful experience! The front desk staff, the MA and the check out staff were all very polite and sweet. And Dr. Norma was so pleasant, thorough and knowledgeable. No excessive waits. And Dr. Norma was able to perform both a cryo procedure and a small biopsy/excision at this first visit! Thank you to everyone in this office for making it so pleasant from start to finish!

Superior care and attention, outstanding staff and Dr. Klein is amazing. I am so glad a friend recommended HK Dermatology many years ago. It has been a blessing for my skin and peace of mind.

I came to see Dr Norma to get a cosmetic mole removal. She didn't frighten me and tell me I am going to have an ugly scar and should keep it or go see a plastic surgeon. Instead, she was very warm, comforting, and confident I would be happy with her results. I went ahead and let her do the procedure, and a week later I am very happy with the results! It's healing very well. Dr Norma is patient, kind, and very knowledgeable.

Dr. Norma is one of the kindest physicians I have known. She is gentle and makes sure she treats every questionable spot she finds. I always feel like I am so well taken care of after each visit. I highly recommend her.
