I had an extremely negative and upsetting experience at Dr. Nahm’s practice today that I feel is important to share. As a male dermatologist examining a female patient in a gown and underwear, with male technicians present, absolutely no respect for my privacy or comfort was shown. At no point was my dignity protected, and I felt deeply uncomfortable and violated throughout the examination. The interaction with Dr. Nahm himself was equally troubling. As a 22-year-old woman with many moles, I have been seeing dermatologists annually my entire life. I’ve always been told my moles are genetic and normal—something to monitor, but not to fear. In stark contrast, Dr. Nahm told me, word for word, that I had a "dark future," and went on to emphasize how badly sun-damaged my skin was. When I asked about laser treatments for acne scarring, he told me there wouldn’t be much point because I didn’t "look like the type of person who would spend multiple hours locked in a library and out of the sun." for longevity results. I found this comment rude, offensive, and completely unprofessional. I left the office in tears—feeling fearful, unsafe, and far from reassured. A doctor should speak to a patient as a human being, with empathy and understanding, not in a way that induces fear, shame, or judgment. I rarely write reviews, but I hope sharing my experience helps others make an informed decision before visiting this office.

I have been here for two mole removals. The clinic is efficient and the waiting I have experienced is not atypical of other doctors I have been to. Dr Nahm is very friendly and professional, but also direct, and doesn't sugar coat advice. In my opinion this is to the benefit of his patients - many skin cancers are highly preventable with (minor) lifestyle changes and the clearer these changes are conveyed to a patient the better. His staff and nurses are equally as professional and efficient.

There seem to be a lot of impatient people posting negative reviews complaining about wait times. This is why we have devices and books to keep us entertained while waiting. Yes, there was a bit of a wait on my first few visits while they figured out my issues. Once treatment began I would be in and out in 15 minutes. The doctors and staff are great. The office is clean and the equipment is all up to date. I trust Dr Nahm more than my primary care doctor. He determined the root cause of one my issues was liver damage. This is something my primary doctor missed. I would recommend Dr Nahm to anyone! 10/10

Dr. Nahm is by far the greatest Dermatologist. I have been his patient for more than four years and I have nothing but good things to say. He is very caring and personable, and I always enjoy my visits. Everyone who works there is so attentive and professional. During the pandemic, I had multiple cysts removed and all of them were treated properly. I recently visited him for possible hair loss. I also go there for NB-UVB photo therapy and participated in a clinical trial with them too. Recently, my primary care referred me to another Dermatologist, and I asked if I could get authorization for Dr. Nahm. I didn't see him after a few years, and he welcomed me back to his practice like we were meeting an old friend. As long as I live in the San Diego area, I will always choose Dr. Nahm as my Dermatologist.

I've had seven tumors cut out of my face and 10 on my body. Dr Nahm has done an excellent job helping me the past 15+ years and there's no one else I trust more.

Got to the office 20 minutes ahead of my appointment to take care of the paperwork as requested. The request to get there early would imply that they like to stay on schedule for my appointment. Long story short, I was there for over 2 1/2 hours. I mentioned this to Dr Nahm and 3 others there and got, No explanations, no apologies. 2 1/2 hours for a total time of maybe 10-15 minutes with the doctor. It feels like he's got 7-8 rooms full of waiting patients, so he can maximize his income, or his time on the golf course.
