The Formula Skin Lab

Experienced my first facial ever with Stephanie and she handled me with such care. I throughly enjoyed my experience at The Formula Skin Lab so much that I even brought my grandma for Mother’s Day. The membership makes it convenient to prioritize my self care on a monthly basis.

Today I was introduced to the exclusive acne facial at Formula Skin Lab in San Diego near SDSU. Led by the skilled and experienced esthetician, Bella, with a personalized acne facial tailored to target my specific skin concerns. My end goal is achieve clear, radiant skin. Then, she customized a treatment plan designed to combat acne, reduce inflammation, and promote overall skin health. I know it might be along road ahead for me but I appreciate their determination to get me on a clear path. I’ve tried so many different treatments, creams medications, etc. so to pinpoint what the root of the causes along with finding a solution is crucial. I look forward to the bootcamp they offer. Thank you to Stephanie who also made me feel welcomed the moment I walked in, she’s an expert in her field of training and getting your skin back on track.

I'd been contemplating on getting another wax since my first one two years ago. I saw Steph J styles advertisement for the Wednesday deal and I jumped right on it. My experience was nothing less than phenomenal especially being there on my lunch break. Stephanie and her staff made me feel super comfortable and special. It's always a pleasure to support black business with such great hospitality. 🙂

Absolutely amazing! Kai is seriously the best waxer in the game. Not only is she incredibly friendly, personable and welcoming, she is also extremely professional and knows what she’s doing. She always takes her time and make sure no hair is left behind. She’s meticulous in her work and I have never been disappointed. Every time I come in I’m reminded why I’ll never go anywhere else again! Everyone at the salon is just amazing so please do yourself a favour and come here for all your waxing, skincare and beauty needs!

I get the underarm and Brazilian wax every month to month and a half. I always book with Tarnesha. She’s very friendly and welcoming. She tries to make me as comfortable as possible during the treatments. She’s gentle when waxing, and she provides instructions for aftercare. Waxing can be uncomfortable but the results are great! I recommend this place as the vibe is overall welcoming and judgement-free!

I had Whitney as my wax specialist, my Brazilian was the least painful that I’ve ever experienced, no hair left behind! The owner made me feel comfortable from the moment I walked in the door. Everyone was kind, personable, and professional- also very knowledgeable of protocols and key ingredients in their products. I ordered a regimen and booked another appointment. I sought after a black owned esthetician business and Formula Skin Lab will be the only one in San Diego I will go to.

COVID impacted me more than I realized and I got really comfortable putting myself last. I went to Steph J to prep for my 5 year anniversary weekend and they all took such good care of me, wax, makeup done by Anita and an hour of some positive girl talk and I was out the door ready to enjoy time with hubs. It’s worth it, you’re worth it, go visit to beautify yourself but mainly for a full experience. You deserve it! Thanks Steph, Anita and team for doing such an amazing job!
