Ronald Shiell, MD

I called Dr. Ronald Shiell's office beginning of September to schedule an appointment specifically with Dr. Shiell. The office rep. told me that it will be end of October if I wanted to wait, so I told her that I will wait (the appointment was for my son). The appointment got scheduled October 28th. So after a couple of weeks, I got a text saying, that they have an earlier appointment but with a nurse practitioner Terry Santiago end of September, and if I am interested in the earlier appointment, to text back, but I didn't want to take that earlier appt with that NP Terry since she really has bad reviews, so I ignored the text and I wanted to wait for my original appointment with doctor Sheill who I chose. Then 2 weeks before my October 28th appointment, I got worried so I called the office to confirm my appointment. The office rep. told me yes, my appointment is set for October 28th, but with that NP. I don't want that NP. They just switched healthcare providers on me without my approval. I agreed to wait about 2 month for the doctor that I chose originally. That is not right to do that after a very long wait. So I cancelled my appointment and found another dermatologist who respects patients. I don't recommend West Dermatology or Dr. Ronald Shiell because they don't respect patients.

my experience was really good, loved how easy and fast checking in and out was. Medical Assistants were so nice and helpful. Dr. Shiell was so pleasant and attentive. Really liked how he took his time and answered all my questions.

Dr. Shiell is terrific on all levels. He's that rare combination of a skillful physician and a personable, down to earth human being. He listens, is responsive, caring and thorough. He has our trust. We highly recommend him and his team.

Dr. Shiell is ever just an outstanding delight. Totally attentive and demonstrates the highest professional standards (this from a fellow physician). His surgical skills are as good as any I have seen. He goes out of his way to listen and politely, kindly talk with patients.

I actually went to see Dr. Shiell for a second opinion. From the start, with Michelle,(front desk) who was AMAZING, to the doctor and the nurses, ALL were great!! Loved Dr. Shiell. He listen to what I have to say, he explained what he was doing. He was compassionate and thorough. Thank you ALL for taking care of my me.

The front office is very pleasant and professional Dr.Shiell explain everything he was going to do, did it quickly, was concerned about any pain I was feeling, ( which was barely nothing) and explain to me the aftercare Such a great experience with Dr. Shiell I will be recommending Dr. Shiell to anyone that has a problem and might need an excellent dermatologist. If I do have future problems I know I will be going to Dr. Shiell

I felt on going to this office a third time and on primary care physician’s recommendation to see the MD instead of the PA, that Dr Schiell’s visit with me was short. He didn’t look carefully, nor did he take a biopsy. I have been satisfied with my family members’ care at this office, but I will be seeking care with a different doctor at this time. The office and staff are good, but if it is not a simple fix, he didn’t seem interested.
