The physicians at this practice are wonderful, however the reception staff is truly the rudest staff I have ever interacted with in my life. I was scolded by the receptionist, told incorrect information that cost me hundreds of dollars (until she "did me a favor" by fixing their mistake), and one time she even refused to schedule a follow up appointment. And that is assuming you can get a hold of the front desk--they do not pick up the phone or return calls! I have known multiple people who have switched away from this practice due to the reception. I did so as well, but recently tried to switch back because the dermatology care here is top notch. Will I ever get an appointment? I've called 4 times and left a voicemail that was never returned, so all signs point to no. I ended up going in person to make an appointment. The receptionist did not like that. She kept trying to dissuade me from making an appointment and then finally made me one, but told me my insurance wouldn't be covering it because it was cosmetic. My reason for the appointment is not cosmetic and it is very upsetting that the front office is gatekeeping patient care. If this office doesn't want to provide dermatology care, they should not be listed as a UPMC affiliate.
I come here and see Ashley every 6-8 weeks as needed for a facial and she is so incredibly wonderful. Furthermore, I was having an issue with an area on my face and they got me in so quickly to see Eva who was so kind, compassionate, and helpful. 10/10 would recommend.
Everyone is excellent including the receptionist. They all make you feel welcome ad at ease.
I’ve seen Ashley Deglau twice for extractions. She also recommended 2 facial products to help with my adult acne. I’ve seen more improvement in my skin from the time I started seeing Ashley, than I have for the 2 years I’ve been seeing my dermatologist. I can’t thank Ashley enough for so being welcoming, kind, knowledgeable, and helpful. She explained step by step what she is doing and why. She took the time to answer my questions and make sure I understood the products and the next steps moving forward. I couldn’t be happier with my experience and I thank Ashley for helping me to feel confident in my own skin for the first time in years!
Dr. Haddad is very skilled and knowledgeable and has excellent bedside manner, but her scheduling staff are some of the most hostile I've ever encountered. I'm not sure if it is poor working conditions, lack of training, lack of communication, subliminal bigotry, or just generally being rude people but scheduling appointments at this place is awful. Firstly, the schedulers think they know everything despite admitting to not have spoken with the doctor. The first time I clarified to them that I and Dr. Haddad had come to a different arrangement than what they assumed, they tried to talk in circles and still schedule me the wrong way. I persisted and finally, they agreed to schedule me properly, but gave me a rather dirty look and acted annoyed for the remainder of our interaction. Overall it's an inconvenience, not a dealbreaker, but I worry on a day where I was less vigilant that this could have led to serious gaps in my healthcare. And nobody is perfect but it would have been nice if they at least weren't rude to me. Schedulers should want the best healthcare for every person they interact with. Get them to that point and this will be a 5-star experience.
I have always been treated professionally by the staff, so I can’t comment otherwise. I was initially treated by Dr. Suzan. She was so kind and really listened to why I was there and what I was trying to accomplish. My next appointment was with Mystica L. Well, again another professional who was phenomenal. I trust Mystica wholeheartedly and see her regularly. I was there this week and the receptionist who checked me out helped me with my Obagi points on purchases. I would recommend this practice to anyone who is serious about skincare.
This is the first time I wrote a bad comment. I went here to make an appointment to cure my acne scarring this afternoon.I transferred from another UPMC where they had a very gorgeous team and helped me a lot.Unfortunately, the receptionist was soooooo arrogant and impatient, she seemed like I own her fifty bucks. Even though I tired to be nice and patient and said "Could you be patient with me" it was first time I came to here. I just want Dr Suzan to help me with terrible acne, because my acne scarring is very severe and the previous place they recommended me to find Dr.Suzan. She still arrogant and fake! Terrible place I will never come here again! I will back to UPP Department of Dermatologist and they are really angels.
