First impression is LGTBQ friendly. (Treated like everyone else) Understanding, Very short wait. Dr Shu was very patient and understanding. I did not feel rushed nor did she seem rushing. I felt valued and heard. The doctor expressed an interest and passion to solve my problem and started me on another med then i have been on the last 8 months. I feel grateful to have found her. Parking is free and easy to get to in the North Hills. Handi cap accessible. The office had great reviews so i was in. So here is mine.

The doctor herself is nice but the front desk staff are a sloppy mess. When I first went there I noticed the front desk staff were very rude but I figured I wouldn't have to deal with them much so I shrugged it off. However, now, my pharmacy has been trying to get ahold of the office for weeks to get my prescription refilled and they haven't been able to get ahold of anyone. When I tried to call them first I was put on hold for a long time and then the line just disconnected. Then, I tried again and pressed a different phone menu option and after another long hold I was able to leave a voicemail. Hours later a staff person called me back and I asked if the reason my prescription wasn't refilled was because I needed to come in for an appointment and she said no and said the refill would be sent to the pharmacy that day. I asked again if I should schedule an appointment since I hadn't been in in a while regardless and the front desk person said it wasn't necessary and hung up. A week later and my pharmacy still hadn't heard from the office. So, I called this office yet again and was told they would not refill my prescription until I came in person and that it was illegal to do otherwise. Very strange to have a staff person openly tell me their staff had been breaking the law or promising to break the law the week before. Really makes it hard to have faith in an office when they have such a blatant lack of organization or professionalism.

Everyone in the office were very friendly & my wait time minimal. Dr Shu was also friendly quite thorough & professional as well as her nurse Payton. I was referred to her by my daughter-in-law & would refer as well.

Staff there very professional, I arrived on time my appointment wa for 10am. I was interviewed, got something to read sat down, i was called right away. Answer some more questions saw doctor Shu I was in and out before 10:45am. Doctor Shu is a very nice and professional, she puts you at ease. She tells you exactly what is going on with each blemish. I was very pleased, will see her again. I would recommend her to any one. In fact I recommended to my daughter already.

Dr Shu was able to identify the type of cancer on my grandmother's leg within 2 seconds of walking into the room. She knew exactly what it was and knew exactly what to do. She made my 99 year old grandmother feel calm and relaxed. I'm so glad she was able to remove it with minimal pain.

If you are looking for a dermatologist look no further. Dr Shu. She is very warm, personable and is not running an assembly line, mass production, like other dermatologists i have tried. She listens to you! She has treated me for several different issues very effectively. Support staff are also personable!

Scheduling with them is terrible!
