I felt like i was going crazy. Swollen ear lobes and itchy warm at times. 3 visits and to medication repeated told to use and would work after months of use. it did NOT. I felt like i was being gas lighted into thinking i was fine and there were throwing no effort into figuring it out. Called is eczema. My last visit was the final straw. Doctor cam in did her thing and gone. Brought in another medication and said this med my work it just doesn't have a steroid in it. Turns out none of the medications they gave me actually had steroids. No one could tell me what it actually had that would make it better for what i was dealing with. I asked to talk to the doctor to come in a she refused to. instead relayed the same message to use the same useless medications that haven't worked for over 8 months. I was left in the room for over 20 minutes before they opened the door and said oh your still here. You can go. Ridiculous. Never going back. I literally told the lady at the deck on the way out when they asked scheduled a follow up i was getting a second opinion. Found a dermatologist who actually wants to solve the problem and started another medication that is actually working. One of my worst experiences ever. No message on here from your office will change that. There's is an obvious reason you have 2 stars. i wish i would have reviewed you before hand.
It was the worse experience via telehealth and I've done telehealth several times in the past. UPMC has 2 apps and both were alerting me. I was informed that my photos that have already been shared in UPMC app would be accessible (I made certain to ask) at the time of the appt and it was not. The assistant attempted to allow me the opportunity to share but the app would not allow. When Dr. Guerrero got on the camera she was very quick to dismiss my concerns brush off the need to view pics to see what the issues are and told me that my self report alone was sufficient enough for her to diagnose me with a "chronic condition" that I've never encountered before. She literally stated that because there is no actual way to figure out what is causing it, this would be a lifelong ordeal to "treat the symptoms" and not the cause. Which is the most absurd thing to tell someone who's never had a condition nor has a lab or lab panel have been requested. She was very dismissive and decided that even after the consult and receiving the pictures (post appt) that I should use Allegra for the rest of my life. I felt helpless and nothing made sense for her to not even suggest any forms of tests prior to telling me this is "chronic" (after having it for 4-6 weeks is what's she said). Who wants to be on pills for clearly an allergic reaction to something without being able to filter out a cause? This is nonsense and if I wanted to do that, I would've asked Google or AI for their professional advice and not an alleged doctor who clearly cares about going to her next patient and not treating causes but simply to treat symptoms. Unacceptable and I would not recommend her for any consult in the near future because clearly being medicated lifelong is the new norm and not treating the cause.
My first visit, I had a hard time finding the location as it was hidden. Despite me calling and telling them I was lost, once I got into the waiting room 15 minutes late they told me the appointment was canceled because I was late. No empathy for clearly being lost and even calling them trying to find it. Now; I’m between jobs and all I asked for was one refill of face wash to hold me over until my insurance is active and they told me no without being seen. For a simple face wash I’ve been using for over a year. They are rediculous. I would not go to this provider, seemingly other people do not recommend as well. I’ll find one that isn’t looking for anyway to get money out of their patients. Sad.
First time seeing Dr. Guerrero today. I can't say I'm impressed. My appointment was at 10:15 and I didn't even get to meet the doctor until 11:15. When making the appointment, I was told it would be with Dr. Angela Guerrero, but I mainly saw her "assisting team." I didn't feel listened to-- if anything, I felt very dismissed. Looking at my after visit summary and notes, I found many errors about my medical history (I don't know where they got some of the information because there was absolutely no intake paperwork). I am going to give "her" treatment plan (at least the parts that are covered by insurance-- she pushed a laser treatment that costs hundreds of dollars a session) 3 months, and if I see no improvement, I will not be returning. I am very disappointed because I specifically picked this doctor for the raving reviews on the UPMC website.
Dr.Guerrero always listens and addresses my concerns. She thoroughly explains any treatment plans needed and what follow ups that are to be expected. She is very professional, polite, and friendly.
Dr Guerrero prescribed Effudex for me about two years ago. She was not honest with me about the pain and disfigurement it would cause.
