Art of Dermatology - Novi

The entire clinic staff has an ambulance of beautiful energy. Their demeanors are gentle. Danielle, Madison, and Allison work well together. The front desk attendant (can't remember name, sorry) is friendly. I have felt no reason to be ashamed or embarrassed with my needs with any of the three specialists.. Today is my second appointment with Danielle. She is easy to talk to, comfortable to be honest with no matter how uncomfortable the situation I have is. I would definitely recommend.

Very unpleasant experience after going here a couple of years with nothing but positive ones. They switched nurse practitioners without notifying us; we learned about it when we were checked in for our appointments. The new assistant was super snappy about normal processes we have undergone over our last 2 years of visits. It was clear the new nurse practitioner did not look at our charts prior to seeing us and we had to tell them multiple times about treatments that had taken place. The only positive is the receptionist is still fantastic! Tried contacting someone directly about the experience prior to rating them, but I have yet to get a response. A quick google search gave us the answers we needed…Danielle is now at Eastside Dermatology…that’s where we will be headed. Now fingers crossed that I don’t have to deal with billing issues that others had commented on as I made it clear I wasn’t comfortable with the new situation.

Dr. Danielle Bosscher and everyone at Art of Dermatology in Novi is amazing! Danielle is so kind, caring, and incredibly patient. She actually listens, values my opinions, and makes me feel comfortable and heard at every visit. Which is sadly a rarity now a days. Danielle herself even calls back personally with answers to my questions, which I love. She’s gone above and beyond through all my insurance issues, failed medications and always makes sure I never go without treatment. When I first came to her, I was struggling with terrible plaque Psoriasis & Psoriatic Arthritis and felt so down and depressed about myself and my skin. But no joke after my first visit i left with hope that i would finally be able to get the help i needed to feel comfortable in my own skin again, which i am happy to report i currently am! And it’s all thanks to her. I’m beyond grateful to have her as my dermatologist, she’s truly one of a kind and the company is very lucky to have her on their team. I can’t say thank you enough! 💖

I highly recommend Art of Dermatology to anyone looking to address their dermatology needs. From start to finish, their customer service is on point and precise. They were able to schedule a same day appointment, which is rare. Minna Shaba was kind and direct, professional and confident, and gave an expert consultation which not only put my mind at ease but worked exactly as she said it would. There is nothing more valuable than this and I will always be grateful to Minna and the Art of Dermatology staff!

Short version: They charge $150 for laser consult. I’ve done laser for rosacea 2-3 times over the past 15 years, at dermatology offices, never had a consultation fee, to be sold laser treatments. Long version: Asked for first available laser consultation appointment for rosacea, said cosmetic and would be out of pocket. When I arrived receptionist advised there is $150 consultation fee. Trying to give benefit of the doubt asked if it would be applied to services booked. Nope!! I even emailed the office after to double check, they seemed to have every treatment available short of god’s hand. They did not respond btw. 3 stars based solely on $150 cash grab, can’t comment on services or staff, as you may have guessed, I chose not to keep the appointment.

Disgraceful business. I was in and out of the hospital the first half of the year and when I had to cancel an appointment after being admitted to the hospital they charged me $100. Then I had only used half a vial that they charged me over $900 for and when I was finally able to come back (after the hospital) I came in to be told that they couldn't use the 2nd half of the vial because it had been too long. Yet, in all the times I called and spoke with them not once did they mention this was a concern. They were even going to charge me $100 again for the appointment because I refused to pay for a new vial. When I went to a REAL clinic with a medical doctor they informed me that it the product I was using could be used for 6 months whereas Art of Dermatology said 2 weeks. They must be selling the same vial to other customers and double dipping and making the first customer purchase another vial. Their services are awful anyway and they bruised my face worse than I have ever experienced. Stay away from here if you value your looks and your wallet.

I called 40 min after the cut off time to cancel or reschedule an appointment. There is a 24 hour policy but I was rescheduling not canceling. They would rather lose a patient rather than work with the patient. Sometimes life gets in the way, have a waiting list to move patients into time slots so you aren't loosing anything.
