Thank you to the wonderful physicians, surgeons, nurses, staff, and many others who made our experience at the Vanderbilt Transplant Center so positive. My mother received a kidney transplant at Vanderbilt Transplant & Surgical Care in January 2026, and from the very beginning, we knew she was in excellent hands. The medical team was patient, thorough, and incredibly kind throughout the entire process. My mother, who is almost 70, had a smooth transplant experience and received truly exceptional care. The nursing care was so sincere, as well as the overall care on the transplant unit. Her husband, daughters, sisters, brother, loved ones, and friends, near and far, cannot thank you enough. Thank you to Dr. Dageforde and the entire team for your incredible work. Thank you, Vanderbilt!
I'm so happy I was transferred here to this wonderful hospital every one here has been amazing. The staff here has been taking great care of me from the Nurses in the emergency department to the hand surgeons to the wonderful nurses in the burn unit. My nurses Leah, Leah, Sophia and Breanna they have been exceptional in making sure my wound is clean and my pain is minimal and that my needs are met. I would also like to add the wonderful care partners that help take care of me Sarah and Kiera. They are very caring and kind. Thank you so much Ladies from the bottom of my heart for the wonderful treatment and kindness you have giving me during my stay. Today is my last day here 01/23/26. You all made me very comfortable during my stay and I appreciate all of your hard work and devotion. Please know I will keep you all in my prayers and my heart.
My dad was sent here from our local hospital to monitor his brain bleed. Unfortunately he developed a subdural hematoma, that had to be evacuated via a crani. The team responded fast and performed the surgery. The 8th floor critical care trauma team did a excellent job. We had nothing short of amazing nurses, aides and doctors; however, my dad was not able to recover. When it was time to place my dad on comfort care, the team was there every step of they way. Not only did they make things easier on my dad, they did us as well. I will always be grateful for the teams knowledge, compassion and empathy!
Took my husband to the Vanderbilt Medical Center for a second opinion and everyone was wonderful with caring for him! It was about a three hour drive because we live in Knoxville TN but it was definitely worth the trip. I totally recommend Vanderbilt for any type of care you may need. The place is very nice and clean with amazing staff! Call them for an appointment today! 😊
I work in outpatient addiction in MD. One of our patients was out-of-town in the area on work. Due to unforeseen circumstances, they were stranded without their medication for a few days. After circling back to check in on the patient to make sure they were ok, they reported that the hospital had welcomed them in with no judgement, and efficiently gotten them the life-saving medication that they needed. Thank you, Vanderbilt, for helping and saving a life today!
Wow, how do I start such a honest selfless acts that happen here. First of all they dont just tell you they show you when you stop amd ack for directions or need something. Not as a patient but ad a visitor. Last night I was a wreck i got lost in the hospital and I didn't understand but I had to call joe on phone to stay in a bathroom and ask someone to find me. I have no sense of direction. During the time of my losing my mind I also lost a jumbo Loius Vuttion authentic zippy wallet. It had my DriverLicense, credit cards , and even a little cash. I want you to know the security called about 15 times u til I finally answered and told me they had it . I thought ok i need to find hoe to get to where they are but no they brought it too me when i told them i got.lost last night. They were so nice and i hadnt even noticed it gone yet. Of course I wanted to give a reward or something for returning it and she said oh no You Welcome! But You don’t have to give me anything, it’s my job to look out for the patients and their family. She works (Public Safety and Security) CSO - B. BOOKER and guy that was with her name is CSO - EASIE-WITTER, MICHAEL. These two people deserve a raise where from a small town and I just cant believe this happen. If this isn't God,s unconditional grace i don't know what is. Thank you so much!
I am so very impressed with this hospital. the trauma and ICU area is pristine in all areas . Really the entire ER and main lobby as well. Thank you so much for having valet! My only complaint would be the few such as a tall chubby black female security guard speaking rather loudly and profane on the 10th floor as well as what appeared to be a young nurse speaking very loudly on the phone to her boyfriend johnquavious or whatever his name was. The volume level was incredibly rude considering its the trauma area , where peoples loved ones are fighting for their lives. I did however enjoy 99% of the other employees . Especially the nurses. They work so very hard and with smiles on their faces. I few were quite loud yelling sports numbers down the halls. Reminded me of scrubs or greys anatomy. It brought life to a very dreary area however I do believe a level of peace should be met as well. And for the most part it was. I am very happy with my experience. Made the hour drive there that much more bearable.
