Dr G always takes great care of me. She’s been my derm for close to 20 years. I usually don’t need much. A quick once a year look over. She became highly involved in my medical care since my diagnosis of lupus. I can’t thank her enough for always going the extra mile to make sure I’m doing the right things for my condition. And fixing my 11s now that I’m older doesn’t hurt either. 🙂

Beware -They Do Not Cover Preventative Skin Cancer Screenings. I’m genuinely shocked by my experience with Germain Dermatology. I booked an appointment for an annual preventative skin cancer screening, something that is 100% covered by my insurance and is the standard of care for detecting skin cancer early. No biopsies, no procedures, no diagnostics were performed. It was simply a visual exam that took less than 3 minutes. When I questioned the unexpected bill I received afterward, I was told after the fact that Germain Dermatology "does not perform preventative services," only diagnostic ones. This was never disclosed before or during the appointment, and makes no sense for a dermatology clinic where early detection is literally the point of regular skin checks. Most reputable practices automatically bill annual skin checks as preventative because they ARE. Preventative screenings are the number one recommendation from dermatologists for catching melanoma and other skin cancers early. Instead of correcting the coding or contacting Aetna (which any responsible provider would do), they ignored the insurance dispute entirely and sent the bill to collections, even though no diagnostic services were performed and the insurance dispute was still open. I've been getting annual skin checks for over 15 years as my mother passed away from melanoma, and I’ve never had another provider behave this way. Other offices actually call insurance and correct their own billing when something doesn’t match coverage. Germain Dermatology simply refused and tried to push the entire cost onto me. They even tacked on what appears to be late and collection fees when they sent it to collections. If you are expecting standard medical billing practices or honest communication about what your insurance covers, please be extremely careful.

I had heard of Germain Dermatology but thought it was a cosmetic dermatology practice. One of my brothers insisted that I give them a try. To my amazement they were no-nonsense practitioners looking for skin cancer. I recently had my annual checkup and I was thoroughly checked over. I came away with one biopsy and several spots sprayed with liquid nitrogen. Also, a recommendation to have blue light therapy. In looking back after so many years, I had never had any proactive treatments suggested. I’m in my senior years where I shouldn’t have to worry that I’m getting the best care; it’s good to be rest-assured that I am. Many thanks to Louisa Floyd.

Super easy process for my annual checkup. Walked-in at 9:40. Front desk greeted me and handed me a few simple forms to initial. I was soon asked to come back for my appointment. Put on robe. Dr was in to see me within 5 minutes. She did a thorough yet quick and efficient check and I was done. Back in my car by 9:55. Superb process and experience!

I have been to Germain Dermatology for both medical and cosmetic visits and have been very pleased with their professionalism and attentiveness. Everyone I’ve interacted with has been very nice and answered my questions. Dr. Germain is the first dermatologist to really care about treating my rosacea and that has made a huge difference for me. I trust her judgment and she’s also a lot of fun which makes visits so pleasant.

From start to finish, the experience here has been perfection! The people at the front desk are incredibly happy and kind. I've been going to Lauren for laser hair removal. She is sweet, incredibly kind as everyone there is, and she has made me feel so much more confident in myself. She is as gentle as she can be with the job given and I have had fantastic results. By session 2/5, my hair has not grown back and any that do, are peach fuzz. I am so incredibly happy coming here and highly, highly recommend Germain Dermatology and Lauren for laser hair removal!!!!

I have been so happy with my results. The staff is warm and personable. They match the energy and enthusiasm of Dr. Germain. She has the sunniest personality. I look forward to my appointments. It feels more like catching up with friends I see every 3 months that cause a little discomfort to my forehead than it does a chore. Ha! The outcome is beautiful. It also just feels good to go somewhere for a service where I leave feeling appreciated and valued. High praise!
