If I could give more than 5 stars I would! If you're looking for a relaxing and rejuvenating facial, look no further than The Skin Gym NYC. It was my first facial by Effie and won’t be the last, she’s friendly and very professional. The Spa is very clean and organized, I felt very relaxed from the moment I enter the spa. Effie was very thorough with the treatment and made sure to address all my questions and concerns. I had a facial massage done at the beginning of the treatment and it certainly released all the stress showing on my face after a long week of work. My skin was analyzed for the first time and was very incredible to know what type of skin I have and how to take care of it. She is very knowledgeable and educated about the skin and the treatments. Was very blessed with the visit. Thank you, Effie!!! 😊

If I could give Effie more than 5 stars, I would. She has completely changed my skin and given me more confidence. Before Effie, I felt like I had tried almost everything. I was on several creams from the dermatologist and had many appointments with other estheticians. As a last resort I was going to go on Accutane, but luckily I found Effie. Not only does Effie pay incredible attention to detail, but she genuinely cares for her clients. Effie creates such a welcoming environment! Without her, I would not be where I am today. I am so grateful for Effie and all that she has done and continues to do for me!

Effie is awesome ! I went in for my first facial and to get my skin analyzed and it went great. Effie walked me through everything she was doing before she did it to make sure I was comfortable and ready for everything ! My skin already felt refreshed after finishing! She was even able to answer any questions I had regarding certain products and facial care. Can’t wait to schedule more appointments with her for healthier skin!

I have always been very particular about my skin and who I can trust to work on my skin. We all can agree that having beautiful skin enhances our well being and confidence. I was very fortunate to discover the skin gym New York and meet with Effie- licensed nys esthetician and esthetician instructor at an established beauty school in New York . I would first like to say having met Effie for the first time , there was something outstanding about her .She is a very down earth, charismatic , personable, gentle and kind person and yes she has amazing ,beautiful skin. Effie comes with a wealth of experience and knowledge and she really takes the time to listen and explain. She is definitely experienced and very abreast with the latest procedures and facials in the field of esthetics ! I was so impressed by her degree of professionalism and experience and with her spa- located in a beautiful neighborhood -the spa itself felt like a a secret beauty haven, it was very clean and the ambience was perfect . The decor , the smell, the music it was truly a retreat to just allow your mind and body to relax . My first facial experience was a collagen facial - Effie explained each step of my facial and what she was doing , she explained the product which used and made you feel at ease throughout the facial . Loved the massage !She analyzed my skin type and offered her professional advice on what I needed to do. I have since been following her recommendations and the results are phenomenal. I knew from the moment she started my facial that I can trust her as my esthetician. The results from my facial -fabulous .I received so many compliments and most importantly I felt great! I highly recommend Effie to everyone . I can attest that you will not be disappointed. On a different note Effie is also an esthetician instructor and I am esthetician student I was so happy to learn that Effie offers the nys esthetician board prep classes for students who need extra help and guidance or even for working individuals who need Some one on one prepping sessions to boost your confidence and knowledge . The esthetician program is a tough program and all the material can be so overwhelming . I was very excited to start my nys esthetician prep course with Effie and with conviction I can she is the absolute best instructor .She is very knowledgeable and really prepares you for both theory and practical.Effie goes over each topics and explains the material step by step in a manner in which you can understand and absorb the material . She is patient and detailed and coaches you on exactly what you need to do focus on . Effie also teaches you the practical aspects of the esthetician program in which you learn step by step the facial steps, waxing and makeup. For those who struggle with massages etc please reach out to Effie she is an answer to your anxiety and worry . She simplifies every step and every topic so you can understand it and feel state board ready . Effie is also great for those students who do not do not speak English as their first language and need to learn at a slower pace . I can’t express my gratitude towards Effie it is beyond words . She is a beautiful person inside out who uses her knowledge, skill set and experience to help others both as an esthetician and an esthetician instructor . She is such a gem ! I highly highly recommend Effie to anyone who needs an esthetician or an instructor . You will not be disappointed !

I was inspired to come to the skin gym for my first facial by one of my close college friends. My friends mom is the esthetician and she is very professional and takes a lot of pride in her work. Effie is very knowledgeable in her field and explained every process of my micro-needling/nano-needling session thoroughly. Effie is very gentle and patient. She goes above and beyond to understand your skin texture and makes the process painless. I left the skin gym feeling like a new person, and my skin was glowing!! Im scheduled to go back for another facial in December because of her amazing results and I highly recommend her if you’re looking for facials, anti-aging, wrinkles acne extractions and scarring.

I have nothing but positive things to say about Miss Effie. She did such an amazing job teaching me with the little amount of time given. Advanced skin care, chemical peels, eyelash extensions, body treatments, full body waxing. Plus I learned how to use microneedling pen and laser machine... She made sure to cover all aspects of the field and took the time to make it a personable experience, she explained everything with no problem. She is a lovely lady and very knowledgeable teacher and I would recommend her to anyone, so thank you very much Miss Effie! P.S. If you ask my friends or family about me, they’ll say "she’s pretty easy-going. Except for skincare. She’s an absolute maniac about her skin." Well, since meeting Effie - that’s all completely changed. Effie has helped me so WELL with my skin that my friends, family and even COWORKERS have noticed. Not only has she been patient and determined with helping me fight my acne. She’s given it a glow that I have not had in a long, long time. Effie is extremely knowledgeable on everything aesthetics. And not just surface level. She will give you the science and medicine behind her treatments and how they’ll react with your skin and body. Just ask her about the cannabinoids in your body and their interaction with CBD oil. Aside from that, she’s genuine! She’s not a "yes-man" - she completely customizes and adjusts all her treatments to best suit her clients. And she’s not in it for the money - trust me. I vividly remember asking Effie about trying CaviLipo for my upper thighs and she told me that she wouldn’t do it because I really didn’t need it. In this day and age, if I had asked anyone else they would have responded affirmatively regardless of their own opinion, but not Effie. She also is so incredibly accommodating and willing to be as flexible as possible to work with you and your schedule. Effie has been a heaven sent - honestly. The Skin Gym has treated me so well, I would recommend it to anyone with double thumbs up. Effie has helped me so much, and I have no doubt she can help *anyone*.
