I’ve been to Yakuza House multiple times before and it has been an amazing experience every time. It’s the only sushi place in the GNO area I want to go to now. 02/04/2026: came for lunch and everything was phenomenal. Might be my favorite visit yet out of 10 previous dinings. Yaki-do sandwich: 5/5. The flavor of this sandwich was incredible. Amazing stuff Sake Nigiri: 5/5. A unique smokey flavor that was amazing. Ika Nigiri: 5/5. I’ve never had cuttlefish. It was quite firm and very delicious! Akami Nigiri: 5/5. Probably my least favorite of the 3 nigiri I had today but was still delicious! ————————————————— 01/07/2026: I went here for lunch today and had the below. The sushi was amazing. The yaki soba was good but not my favorite. Yaki soba w/ chicken: 4.5/5 Hotate (seared scallop nigiri): 5/5 Sake Toro (salmon belly nigiri): 5/5
Enjoyed a wonderful dining experience here! We got the "hangry" set of hand rolls sliced and the peppered tuna sashimi. At the waitress’s recommendation we had the Mirror of Truth Sake. The food was delicious and fresh with great flavors. My favorite of the hand rolls was the scallop. The interior is cozy and comfortable, mostly booths and bar seating. I look forward to returning to try more food here.
Amazing food! Mushroom carbonara and peppered tuna tataki are a MUST! Bar seating is the cool stove you get to watch the chefs prepare the dishes. Highly recommend this place!
The best sushi experience I’ve had so far. I sat at the bar with my friend and even got to chat with one of the chefs who was very funny and also gave us something new to try. Our waiter was super sweet and helpful too. The food speaks for itself, just amazing quality technique and ingredients. Great job!
The dressed sushi nigiries are to die for! I had the lobster with tobiko wasabi & scallop with foie gras. Naturally sweet and rich.
Wow! The service and the sushi 🍣 was superb. Every bite was an adventure and seriously delicious. Sitting at the sushi bar, watching the sushi being prepared was a feast for the eyes.
My gf and I went last night for New Year’s Eve and this is by far THE best sushi spot in the greater New Orleans area. We ordered the crispy rice, hangry temaki set, ora king salmon, yellowtail crudo, wagyu beef, and ube cheesecake. It’s pricey but don’t let that sway you because you get what you pay for with sushi. The quality of ingredients, service, and vibe are on a level that’s unmatched by any other spot in the area. Every single dish was delicious perfection with the star of the show being the ora king salmon in my opinion. It was so outstanding and buttery tasting that it didn’t even need to be dressed at all. Sit at the handroll bar if you can so you can watch them actually make the sushi. We sat right in front of the gentleman making the all the nigiri, and that dude had amazing knife skills. Our server was so sweet, and she was very attentive and accommodating. The vibe is more upscale, modern, and fun. It’s perfect for a date night, night out with friends, or a lunch with coworkers. I’m definitely a loyal regular as long as I’m living in the area.
