Lakeside Hospital

12/16/25 10:30am was my time of visit. This is the second time this month I had to come to the ER bc I couldn’t breathe. I normally fear coming to the hospital but this nurse ERIN is the kindest nurse I’ve ever had. The whole team was great. They were patient, thorough, and compassionate. Thank you team for everything. Best ER in the area.

The ER, I went here in pain, had high blood pressure. The did not run any blood work or do an exam on me, only Urine. I pointed out my BP and they told me my blood pressure was high due to there "machine" inaccuracy. The Dr on duty walked in told me what she "thinks" and did not listen to me when I was telling her about my pain and where it may be stemming from. She looked at me as if I was lying then she got upset when she saw I was upset and did not believe her. They sent me home. Let’s say I went to another ER because I did not believe the MD at Tulane Lakeside. When I went to another ER they ran test and confirm what the MD at Tulane wouldn’t do when I told them where my pain is stemming from. My blood pressure was high at this ER visit as well and they brought my BP down to normal ranges. If I can give this Tulane Lakeside ER 0 stars I would because this is how people go home and fall into a severe illness.

I had arrived in the hospital around 5pm and I did not leave until 11pm. Now, they were busy ,but I was having abscesses form on my tonsils and they told me it was a simple viral infection. It felt like I was breathing through a straw and I kept saying I cannot breathe. They prescribed me ibuprofen and that was it. I went to another doctor the next day, and it turns out I had severe Tonsillitis, and I almost needed emergency surgery. I was able to get the help I needed from the second doctor, but it was a complete waste of time being at that hospital.

Security is absolutely trash. Would not recommend to anyone simply due to security. Even If you have to drive an 1 hour longer trust me it's better than dealing with them. The security is terrible and they're not being strict to follow rules, they're being strict to have less work to do so they can just chill and do nothing. I swear the hospital is literally empty I've been here for the last 2 weeks so I'm not even exaggerating. They wouldn't let my sisters in law come visit their sister because they counted a 1 year old baby as a visitor. The only excuse they have is we can call the Jefferson parish sheriff if you don't like it. Tell me you're lazy without telling me you're lazy

Hospital is not what it used to be. I will be filing complaints my child social security number was sent to an address that I stayed at 6 years ago ! My name also was spelled wrong on his birth certificate! This is ridiculous! This hospital use to be very very best in the state!!! Going downhill. My experience with giving birth the second time was horrible compared to the first!! My doctor is excellent but this hospital is a joke ! So now I have to jump through so many hoops just to get my child a new social security number due to possible fraud all because your workers couldn’t follow simple directions and use my mailing address from the application while giving birth in the hospital and he’s the weird part I received the birth certificate to my mailing address but you send my newborns social to an address from 6 years ago !? Now my child’s identity is at risk because of your laziness. Will be reporting until the person who did this is fired !

After my MRI, I went to leave and the battery on my car was dead. The security guard was kind enough to help "jump" it to get it started. It was very kind of him to help me when it was not necessary. It very much was appreciated! This was around 10:40am on Dec 3, 2025

As suggested, I arrived 45 minutes early. I checked in and was called within 5 minutes.I had my CT and was finished a half an hourǰ before my appointment. The nurses were friendy a professional.
