RidgeView Dermatology - Lynchburg

Staff and procedure 5 stars. Everyone kind and thoughtful. But an hour procedure that took close to six hours was a little much. Much too long waiting. Not sure what the problem was but no explanations or apologies by staff for backup… an hour late starting after getting a text saying that if I was 10 minutes late, I would have to reschedule. I was 15 minutes early for 1 o’clock appointment. Left waiting room close to 2pm and more waiting. Told 45 minutes for pathology. Turned into 1 1/2 hours. Plus more waiting after told my path report up next. I finally got out between 530 and 6 PM for a relatively simple Mohs procedure. As I said, staff very kind and pleasant Dr. Pleasant and efficient and helpful, but not sure if overbooked or an emergency or something, but an explanation would have been helpful.

Appointment was on time, staff was friendly and polite. Procedure was quick and seems to be working. My only concern, since it is as my first time there, was that when I looked up directions because I was a little lost, Maps said the place was closed. Since I had driven 45 minutes to get there I went on. Fortunately they were not closed.

Arrived about 15 minutes early. Was taken back right on time. Staff was very friendly and took time to explain the procedure. The PA (Kamal), did a fantastic job of prepping and finishing the first procedure. Dr. Givan was awesome. The second part of my procedure included some new personnel and I did not get the other ladies name that did the prep and conclusion but she was awesome as well. I highly recommend RidgeView Dermatology.

I was admitted within 10 minutes of my appointment time, that's a plus, and indicates an organized office. I appreciate the online pre office visit portal, as a new patient I had nothing to fill out upon arriving, awesome! I found the staff pleasant, organized, and professional. I had a great experience, I highly recommend!

Absolutely horrible experience. The waiting period for procedures (over 5 hours start to finish) was unacceptable. Two waiting room (I should have recognized the hint) with no snacks or beverages provided for elderly and little or no communication with family members. Now we must return to this unorganized office (although we requested a local location) post surgery. As I will tell my primary care dermatologist for future procedures - anywhere but here. Wow!!!

Great first experience at RidgeView Dermatology!! I arrived 15 minutes early, I was seen almost immediately. Quick, efficient, and knowledgeable!!! Skillfully evaluated the areas I requested them to check. Offered an on-the-spot treatment and had me on my way 'before' my appointment time was scheduled to start. One of the most impressive experiences I have had in healthcare, ever!

DISMISSED!! That’s how I felt. She changed my appointment time from 4 pm to 11 am. Spent no time care or concern for all of my symptoms. Diagnosed with rosacea ? It went away 3 hours after my appointment as I was stressed and also in the sun. I had to ask her to look at my pictures as if she didn’t care. A biopsy needed to be done and she didn’t care enough to help me. I have celiacs disease amongst other issues and she just prevented me from a possible diagnosis. Stay clear from this place. Very sad! The person I seen was Amanda. By the way the star had to be there to post. She doesn’t deserve even that.
