SkinSense has been my go-to place for facials for many years, and other family members are now clients as well. And we are a picky group! Please do yourself a favor and book a facial with Marion..the whole experience feels personal and my skin continues to look great, thanks to her ministrations. Every once in a while, your fantasy version of how something new will play out … … is far exceeded by the actual experience. I’ve heard from a few folk that Marion was exceptional, and a bit of a legend in the pioneering of healthy skin care in The States. She originally hails from the UK, and what’s extraordinary is that she fuses both the class, attention to detail, and expertise of European skin care with the warmth and hospitality and transparency of the better parts of American culture. Everyone’s experience with facialists varies greatly, but for the most part, I've found that there’s a great deal of emphasis usually put on the products, and a great deal of sitting around with masks left on - and often times very little actual work done by the aesthetician. Marion is the complete opposite: she’s with you the entire time, working one part of your face or the other, and clearly genuinely cares about the well-being of her clients – and the well-being of humanity in general. Located in an upscale private spa on iconic 3rd Street, near Sofitel and the Beverly Center, there’s plenty of street parking, and also an adjacent parking lot one can comfortably park in for several hours. Most shocking of all, despite her having the expertise and clientele (yes… Beverly Hills Housewives, and A Listers too!) that would warrant charging three times what she charges… Marion keeps the price point incredibly attainable. Lastly, I shared that I wanted to leave with at least one new product to just keep ensuring that I was doing the best by my skin, particularly during this crazy summer heat wave – and not only did Marion generously throw in a ton of samples, but she ensured I walked away with exactly what I needed, while caring greatly about me not over-spending. Just truly exceptional attention and care. There are, of course, about a thousand aestheticians and advertised "facialists" within the Los Angeles area… but do yourself a favor: Call Catherine and try to get yourself an appointment within the next month… It will be one of the best gifts to yourself you’ve ever enjoyed. Seriously. Cannot recommend highly enough.

I have been experiencing the expertise of Marion Simms for 18 years. While my initial need was to correct problems of adult acne and rosacea, our long time relationship has not only arrested those concerns but those of aging as well. All of her careful, thought-out expert care has resulted in many aspects of aging being arrested. Her studied philosophy of therapy as well as her personally researched product use and development has allowed for a program by which anti-aging has been realized. Her method of building the strength of the skin from the inside out has resulted in a process by which normal progression of aging has been stopped in its tracks. It is a long term, consistent and constant therapy, achieved by perseverance and dedication, on both her and my parts. It has been the perfect alternative to invasive therapies and one through which my natural appearance has been retained. No one could be more pleasant than Cath who always welcomes you. One must be dedicated and follow a simple but necessary program between visits, it is a team effort, but if you are willing to put in the work, Marion will come up with a plan for you by which you can achieve and maintain your goals and retain a youthful appearance.

Before the appointment, I received a detailed email that addresses so many helpful things especially if it's your first time -- everything from practical recommendations about parking to what to expect in terms of pricing, time, etc. Marion herself is so lovely! I really appreciate that the appointment starts with an assessment -- she thoughtfully asks questions about lifestyle, goals and behaviors that help her determine the right treatment and follow-up. She has a calm demeanor, wealth of experience & knowledge that she so generously shares -- and it immediately put me at ease. I enjoyed our talk throughout the treatment and had such a nice time getting to know her. She recommended products and provided a few samples to try that I have been enjoying since the treatment -- and each of them are natural and nourishing. Looking forward to my next appointment!
