I could spend hours going through each detail that makes them five stars but this is one of those rare times I truly want to say EVERYTHING made it five stars. From their front desk to their nurse/medical assistant to their medical provider…everyone was amazing. They were kind, personable, professional, helpful, and made sure I understood everything before and after they removed a few things from my face, my finger, and my upper body. They made me feel heard and valued. They made me feel like a person not just a number. They made me feel like there was no "stupid" question. They put my mind at ease with kindness and respect. Again, top to bottom, five stars and I bet if you give them a try you will understand and agree with me.
Dr Michael Andy Hoosier is the best Doctor I’ve had bar none. He is kind, patient, professional and gentle. He’s bed side manners are superb! I’ve had many procedures with him completely painless. I highly recommend Michael Andy Hoosier.
I had a very disappointing experience with the physician assistant, Nadia Elhofy. I came prepared with my skincare products and a list of questions to get professional guidance on my routine. When I handed her my questions, she said, "Ugh, I don’t want to look through all this," which felt extremely dismissive, especially considering I booked an appointment specifically for her professional expertise. She proceeded to only answer 2 of my 8 questions. She repeatedly tried to leave to see her next patient, and I had to stop her multiple times to try and ask additional questions. When I asked if my routine was okay and whether I should add or remove anything, she told me I was "using a lot and didn’t know what I was using it for" without ever asking why I chose any of the products. I actually work in skincare and do understand why I’m using each product; I came in simply to get a medical professional’s opinion and determine whether stronger, prescription options were appropriate. She also spoke to me as if my information came solely from TikTok influencers (which there is nothing wrong with, by the way), but it felt condescending. The front desk staff was kind and gave me a small skincare goodie bag to take home, which I appreciated. However, overall I left feeling rushed, talked down to, and unheard. I would not recommend this provider if you’re looking for thorough or respectful care.
I had a great experience at Westwood Dermatology. Dr. Taheri runs the practice exceptionally well — everything is organized, professional, and patient-focused. Dr. Andy is always on time, thorough, and truly attentive to details. You can tell he genuinely cares about doing things the right way. I also want to thank Dr. Nadia, who is kind, knowledgeable, and very attentive during visits. The entire team is efficient, friendly, and makes you feel comfortable from start to finish. I highly recommend Westwood Dermatology to anyone looking for high-quality dermatologic care.
I can’t say enough good things about how everyone treated me before and during my appointment. I had a tech glitch with the App so I couldn’t get my profile and paperwork handled before the appointment Jan 2nd and a few issues had me running late but I was treated professionally and even kindly by the staff and Andy who did my annual skin cancer check up. I also appreciate that they give you a light peel once a month which clears off the dead skin. Neighborhood is a little dicey but the parking is in the back and gated so it was fine. Great experience, THANK YOU!
If you’re looking for a clinic that thrives on confusion, mixed messages, and charging you for things you didn’t actually need, congratulations — you’ve found it. For everyone else: don’t walk. Run. Before my appointment, I asked a very simple, modern-world question: "Can you just send my test results through Klara or HealthGlow, the exact way every other doctor I’ve ever had does it?" Instead of an honest answer, I got put on hold and then told that the doctor needed to go over my results plus other things. That phrasing alone made it sound like something urgent or substantial would be discussed. Spoiler: during the actual FaceTime, the doctor in one sentenced said "youre negative (no growth was found from the swab) which could’ve absolutely been sent through the app in under five seconds. There were no "other things." No urgent discussions. No extra concerns. Nothing that justified forcing an appointment I explicitly said I didn’t need. When I questioned the situation, the office responded with a polished little paragraph about how my $85 co-pay was "required by my insurance" and that "any discussion of results counts as a formal consultation." Cute. Corporate. And perfectly designed to deflect accountability for what felt like blatant misrepresentation from the staff. I was scammed and swindled. For context: all my previous specialists — dermatologists, primary care, even urgent care — have always sent results directly through the app, including positives, and simply issued the prescription. No mandatory appointment. No invented "other things." To gether co-pay. So yes, the whole situation felt like I was nudged into an appointment under false pretenses. Not a great look for a medical office. If this is how they operate - hiding behind scripted insurance jargon to justify unnecessary visits - it really makes you wonder what their priorities are. Spoiler: it doesn’t feel like patient care. If transparency, honesty, and basic respect for your time matter to you, there are dozens of clinics nearby that won’t make you jump through hoops just to squeeze a co-pay out of you. And those "good reviews"? Only from people who were misled and given useless freebies to keep quiet. This place? Hard pass.
I've been receiving treatments from Mr. Andy Hoosier PA-C, and my experience has been exceptionally positive. Initially, I was apprehensive about the shots in my head, but over time, I've grown more comfortable thanks to Andy's approach. He's not only easy to talk to but also genuinely listens to my concerns, which is incredibly reassuring. Despite the busyness of the clinic, Andy never seems to waste any time and ensures each visit is efficient and effective. The reception staff also deserves a mention for their cheerful and helpful demeanor, which makes each visit smoother. As someone living with lupus, the fatigue can be overwhelming, so the availability of coffee in the waiting area is a small but significant comfort that I greatly appreciate. Overall, my experience with Mr. Andy Hoosier PA-C, and the clinic has been outstanding, and I feel well cared for and respected as a patient. I have no suggestions or complaints.
