Preferred Dermatology - Lewisville

I don’t really ever post reviews but I felt it was very necessary. I’m self pay. The reason I set up an appointment to this location was because the receptionist quoted me $109 for new patient visit. After my appointment my balance was now $258. The receptionist even went to ask someone why the price was so high. All I was told was that if I pay that my prescriptions would be cheaper. Didn’t make sense to me and they didn’t seem to able to explain further but I paid. I figured I would look into it later. I thought maybe I was gonna be given samples or something. But, that wasn’t the case. I paid for my prescriptions and got nothing else. Also, after talking to the billing department. They will charge you so much more for every single thing the dermatologist looks at. Any question that gets answered will be an additional fee as well. I don’t go to the dermatologist too often now, it’s hard to go to places with a baby. I thought I would ask everything in this one consultation to make it worth my money but it ended more expensive than what I was budgeting. I’m very disappointed. It’s not my fault they quoted me $109 and now take it back. Now I see why there’s so many bad reviews, I should of known. Also, I don’t appreciate Doctor Yee being in such a hurry to end the consultation, it makes it hard to think of all the things I wanted to talk with her.

Went to see Dr. Yee this afternoon at her Lewisville clinic. The front desk girl greeted me. The ipad is clean. The instructions on the ipad is easy to follow when filling the medical info. Dr. Yee and Ms. Jennifer, Rn, both are very patient listening to my concerns. Dr, Yee answered all my questions with professional knowledge.

Vivian Yee is an excellent Dermatologist. She is very thorough and has great bedside manners. She takes the time to answer any and all questions.

This visit most definitely felt like I was a cash grab to this practice. My visit was very rushed to tell you that the doctor stepped in for a total of 2 minutes and walked out. I didn’t get any knowledge or calming information regarding my issue. I had to ask the assistant to bring in the doctor because I didn’t finish talking to the provider about my concerns. From the very beginning nobody greeted me they just asked for your ID and insurance . To tell you that at checkout Giselle gave me an attitude just for asking for a receipt. I should’ve known better since I booked online they moved my appointment to a different time , they didn’t even bother calling me to ask me if it was okay with me or not . Please save your time and money on a better practice. The provider I saw was Dr.Manivannan. Also the front desk staff are rude and passive aggressive. I’ll have to reach out for a refund.

I was greeted when I arrived. The office staff was friendly and courteous. I had very little wait time. Dr. Lee was pleasant and professional. She took the time to inquire if I had any concerns. She also took the time to get to know me. Great experience!

Unfortunately, our experience here was overall disappointing. Both my husband and I had issues. I encountered a rude front desk staff member and felt that my full-body exam was rushed and not thorough. The biopsy site was also improperly bandaged. Normally, I wouldn't leave a negative review, but my husband had a similar experience. While his in-person visit wasn’t bad, he had a large cyst removed, and when he got home, the bandage was already coming off, and his wound began leaking down his back. The instructions were to leave the bandage on for 48 hours, but since it was the weekend, we had to handle things at home, which was far from ideal. To make matters worse, even though the sac was removed to prevent it from coming back, the cyst has already started to return in less than two months. We won’t be returning.

I personally would not recommend this place to any one. It felt unprofessional, rushed, haphazard, and ill prepared. It seems a doctor and medical assisant would be more thorough, patient, caring, informative, and prepared. I had to remind the medical assistant that i needed the doctor to go over BIOPSY results and a treatment plan with me or else she was going to let me leave the office. No pamphlets were offered or available for either condidtions that i could have.
