What a scam. I got a special for $79.00. It was barely 40 minutes by the time I had a skin analysis (only for the purposes of selling extras) It included 2 scrubs, no mask and no massage of any kind. She did red light therapy and that was it. Then they wisk you off into the manager's office, Yulie or something. She made me wait for 10 minutes, then tried to sell me a package for thousands of dollars and buy a red light therapy device for thousands. As soon as I said no, she became very rude. The facial sucked, why would I pay more here??? This did not feel special, it was not relaxing, and it wasn't a deal. It was a $50.00 facial at best. The people were rude and I noticed a product that was made in China. Apparently, not great products either. They just try to sell you the expensive products, they don't actually use them. Don't waste your money or time here. Go where there isn't a rude foreigner trying to sell something.
Wow!!!! I thought I was going to be the only one client to complain about the "SPECIAL FOR $79". What an unpleasant experience it was. I was excited to treat myself to a facial that seemed pretty good. Nice price, spa looks cool and professional.......boy was I wrong. Ushered to a seat and tossed a pad with a "here ya go". Good thing I knew what to do .......... facial begins it's nice I'm just starting to relax and bam!!! It's over.....already? A quick couple of cleansing and a scrub or two.....not sure. But nothing the ad says really happened. Not much explanation of the product nor treatment. I think my girlfriend could do a better job at home with what I have on ✋🏼 hand. Extremely disappointed I wanted to ask questions about some of the products. She quickly ushered me to a room with a woman who immediately became a used car salesman with her pitch and push to sell me products. Asking for a credit card and my social security number.....WHY???? 🤯🤯🤯 I felt trapped by her to purchase. I simply got up and walked out. I have never been through a spa experience like this one before. Buyer beware!!! This special is nothing special and if you do go......skip the gal at the end....I wanted a day relaxation and beauty.......what I got was a day of ugly!!! 😱 Go to Groupon and find another spa. 🤔
I was definitely hooked by the ad they had running. I clarified with their appointment setter what I was looking for and she confirmed that I would be receiving what was advertised for $79. A few reasons why I would not come back, seeing as I have worked in spas and Medspa’s these were red flags. The staff was less than welcoming. As soon as they had me fill out the form they were trying to upgrade me on dermaplanning, which was advertised in the ad. The minute I verified and showed them my conversation before booking the attitude shifted. They facial was not relaxing or calming AT all. Rubbing alcohol was used on my skin several times. The products and steam smelled horrible. And the aesthetician was slamming cabinets the entire time. I do have micro cuts and felt that she was a bit too aggressive with the scalpel. Where I have gone before they don’t use it on dry surface. I skin was burning with the alcohol. They walk you to a room after, which I understand they want to have you upgrade and buy packages. They were not transparent or accountable about the deceiving ad. I’ve had facials for 20+ years and this was not ideal before. I should have walked out right as I walked in and the energy and attitudes were apparent. I only hope that my skin has no reactions and that all products and instruments were clean. I will not refer my clients or friends here.
I booked a $79 special which is apparently normally $299… I was excited as this was my first time here and the instagram ad made it look very nice. I was told when I booked that the facial would be one hour. It was about 40 minutes. The facial itself was not relaxing at all. There was no neck or arm massage - I’ve had many facials at other places and have never had one where they do not do a mini massage while a face mask is on. Afterwards they try to sign you up for a membership.. the lady asked for my phone and started signing me up for Care Credit… she said put in the last 4 numbers of your social… um no thanks. I shouldn’t have even handed over my phone but she didn’t say what it was for. Very strange experience and I would never go back. Definitely not worth the money if it was full price. It honestly was not at all even worth the special price.
What a scam. They advertise a special until you arrive, then nothing is included. They try to upsell you. The facial was barely 40 minutes. It didn’t include a mask at all. Just a double scrub. No steam, no massage. Then, you’re put into the manager’s office so she can be pushy and try to sell you thousands of dollars for a package. If you notice all the bad reviews are in the last 6 months for as long as they’ve had that manager. She’s terrible. She’s fake. Just wants to sell. I hope the owners see that she’s ruining their business. Don’t be fooled by the fake advertising!!! They use cheap products but try to sell very expensive products.
The facial itself was great - relaxing, professional, and exactly what I needed. Unfortunately, the experience went downhill fast after it ended. I was immediately ushered into a high-pressure sales pitch that felt relentless and incredibly uncomfortable. What should have been a calm wrap-up turned into a push for a $7,000 package I repeatedly declined. I finally had to say I was leaving because it felt so unprofessional. Being told they were ‘just trying to help me look better’ made it even worse. A spa should feel relaxing, not like a used-car lot. If you go here, be prepared for aggressive upselling. I won’t be back!
I had a facial at JSO spa June 9, 2025. The. Facial was great. Afterwards a nurse came in analyzed my skin. She said it was so beautiful, smal pores, incredibly smooth for my age. She said she was so impressed that she wanted me to be her model. We had lengthy discussion about being a model and she assured me of the benefits. I would receive all these perks, facials, red light device, products etc. If I agreed to be her model. She took multiple pictures and showed me. She gave me 4 products to use. Finally I was ready leave and she had me sign for what I thought was modeling.(tiny iPad where you just see signature.) As it turns out I had pay $3000 for this machine and 79.00 for facial. I have contacted JSO spa many times and Cherry Technology (credit agency) regarding unethical practices and bait and switch tactics Cherry did do a report but doesn't address concerns, I have 6 susposedly free treatments but I will never trust them again. I wouldn't return if they gave me anything free. Managent at JSO will not even speak with you. Buyer Beware of this company and nurse.
