I have been suffering from severe eczema and hives most of my adult life! I was miserable. Over the years, I’ve been to several dermatologists in the area and tried every medicine under the sun. Dr. Meredith Overholt was the only doctor who helped me. She really listens and care about her patients. My whole family have become her patients and feel the same way! Her staff is friendly and helpful too. Her PA, Dani is very thorough and works diligently to make sure my medication continues to get approved. I am no longer suffering, thanks to Dr. Overholt and her staff.

Even though I have a family history of skin cancer and I am European pale. Dr. Overhalt told me to only come every two years. I waited a little over two years, made an appt to which i sat in the waiting room for an hour. I had to leave and then forgot about rescheduling and another year has past, i called to make another appointment and told I would be a new patient now because it has been over two years and she isn't seeing new patients. I had been going to her over 10 years.

I underwent a recent procedure to have a skin lipoma removed on the forearm region of my arm. I noticed on the second day post-operativly that my sutures appeared extremely tight and my incision was healing in a way that I had extra skin making a "dog ear" effect at the end of my incision site. I immediately scheduled an appointment to get in to have it reassessed by their office to be sure that the sutures didn’t need to be adjusted because of how the skin was healing. They proceeded to tell me everything was fine. When I went in for my two week postop suture removal, the nurse practitioner was very apologetic on how bad the incision looked and also her assistant was having severe difficulty getting the sutures out because they were so tight. Before leaving, I asked to speak to Dr. Overholt to show her how bad the incision still looked and how the skin on the end looked terrible. I didn’t want her to make the same mistake with somebody else. Dr. Overholt refused and said that they were too busy. (It literally would have only taken 2 min of her time and it was 11:55, right before they’d lunch break) They offered for me to schedule another day (and another co-pay I’m sure) to come in to have her look at it. It was very upsetting because my arm now looks very mutilated from her poor suturing job. The failure on her behalf to even take into consideration my concern and take a look at it while I was there today was very upsetting. I will not be returning to The Skin Wellness Center because of her lack of compassion for her patients. I do not recommend using her for any type of surgery. It’s a shame because her nurse practitioners are wonderful and I have always been very happy with Brittany. Dr Overholt needs to work on her bedside manner and find her compassion for her patients. So upsetting.

Made appointment to see Dr. Overholt because I had previously made appointments with her for my parents who had raved how "wonderful" she was. Unfortunately, I did not have the same experience. I went for a skin cancer screening. She was very impersonal and very terse with her responses. When I asked questions, she came across as angry and annoyed as if I had inconvenienced her. Likewise, her assistant was equally as rude and unfriendly. Not sure why they acted as as they did, but my experience was less than ideal.

I feel like more often than not, people only take time to leave reviews for negative experiences instead of positive and professionals don’t always receive the praise they deserve. Dr. Overholt and her nurse were both incredibly kind to me during my recent visit. She took the time to listen to my concerns and discuss some possible solutions for my skin issue. She took a painless biopsy and had the results rushed so I could receive the best treatment available. All of the ladies at this practice are amazing and this is the only dermatology office in the area I trust. Highly recommend Dr. Overholt and the Skin Wellness Center.

I saw Dr Overholt briefly 16 years ago for a questionable place on my shoulder. As she was finishing that biopsy I asked her about a reoccurring spot on my scalp that I could feel. Her voice became elevated and angry, scowling loudly "I WOULDN'T KNOW, YOU NEED TO ASK YOUR HAIRDRESSER!!." I was puzzled by her anger, I kept thinking scalp is skin, how have I insulted her by my question, by my health concern. Inside I was upset by her angry response. The appointment was done. As I left I made sure to stop at reception and explain what had just happened and to say I would never be back again. (And I havent. Other than accidentally making an appointment at the skin wellness center years later with a different Dr, not realizing that's where Dr Overholt is. Once I did realize, I never returned after that once) The receptionist apologized. For years I wanted to ask about that spot on my scalp. I of course changed Dermotologist, but still was afraid to ask, even as wonderful as the other Dermotologist had been. I didn't want to insult them too. As I've had Squamish cell and Basil cell carcinoma multiple times, it's remained a worry. Finally heard a friend mention her Dr who includes the scalp, as my Dermotologist was on maternity leave, I made the appointment with my friends Dr who looked at the spot, said it was some sort of cyst. As my Dermotologist came back from leave, I explained that I was seen somewhere else, and I explained why. She looked at the spot and said she'd feel better doing a biopsy. It came back as Basil cell carcinoma. Thanks to Dr Meredith Overholts need to insult which overrides her care for patients safety and health or desire to treat her patients, that spot had been there 15 years. While I remain concerned for my health and safety due to the length of time it was there, I'm at least thankful it was Basil cell carcinoma and not something more agressive.

I was sent to Dr. Overholt, I had undiagnosed skin/scalp lesions and was losing my hair. Also had lost 30 pounds. I had a laboratory report showing positive for candidas. She refused to accept the lab report or retest. At my last appointment with her she walked into the room with 3 of her other staff members? She told me that there was nothing more that she could do for me. She said she had done all test and couldn't find the problem. I left her office in tears. One week later I picked up a copy of my records, she had diagnosed me as self harming myself! I disputed it but it still prolonged my being able to get the treatment I needed. I have a fungal/mold infection that is directly related to the candidas. I am still suffering from her profiling me.
