Dr. Manisha Thakur, MD

Dr. Thakur is absolutely amazing and caring. However, she had to cancel my parents’ appointments twice within six months due to travel to India. Unfortunately, the front desk does not seem to prioritize rescheduling canceled appointments, and we had to wait nearly three months to get a new one. The front desk staff also don’t always seem very engaged and can come across as frustrated when handling calls or appointments. Additionally, if you leave a message for prescription refills with the nurse’s station, they rarely return calls.

I hate giving Dr Thakur only 3 stars because she is absolutely divine. I could never ask for a better doctor and I couldn't have imagined what her kind of care felt like before she gave it. I strive to be more like Dr Thakur. She listens, she makes recommendations and gives you her thoughts on possible causes and solutions. She will make sure you get tests if you are at all worried about anything and she gives you time and offers a validating place to continue telling her about anything at all that you are concerned about. God bless Dr. Thakur. Her phlebotomists are also very good at their jobs. Precise, fast, and proud of the work they do. That being said, everyone else that I have interacted with there is completely inept and rude. After going to follow up specialists or testing sites, I cannot get the office to call me back or follow up for the life of me. They completely ignore all of these calls and I am only sent to voicemail over and over. They wouldn't even send me my blood test analysis. I got scheduled with the nurse practitioner last time and she was horrible. Rude and judgmental and unkind and clumsy. She did my pap smear last time and I thought I was going to have to go back to see what damage had been done after having pain for two weeks after. I drove an hour away to see Dr Thakur and I would fly in from another country if I could to get the care she provides. But unfortunately I am scheduling with a new primary care doctor now because no matter how good the doctor, I can't get anything finished with a staff that would be better off if it was actually not there at all. At least then you would know nothing was getting done and you wouldn't have to go through rude people to even get to that knowledge.

Dr. Manisha Thakur MD, I have to say she is the best doctor I've had in all my 54 years. I've lived all over the country and Germany, due to the Air Force. So I've had many doctors up until I moved here. Dr. Manisha Thakur MD is very thorough. She listened to and answered all of my questions. I wasn't rushed. We started immediately with the check ups and further plans and referrals. I am very pleased with the attention I have been given. All her staff is wonderful and very professional, especially Nurse Michelle J! As a patient I could not ask for any better care. Highly recommend. Sue H

I had a very disappointing experience with Dr. Manisha Thakur. I was consistently made to wait 2-3 hours for my appointments, which was frustrating and showed a lack of respect for my time. She also failed to call in medications on time. She missed an important diagnosis, which caused unnecessary delays in my treatment. Although she tried to appear caring, the lack of communication and the prolonged wait for test results added to the stress. When the lab results came back, Dr. Thakur informed me that everything was normal, but it turned out the labs were not which further complicated my situation. Thankfully, I’ve since found a new doctor who is thorough, communicative, and a much better fit for my healthcare needs. I do not recommend her for any healthcare needs that you have.

I'm not sure there is another doctor quite like Dr. Thakur. If there was an angel walking on earth, she would be it. She does not rush her patients and she genuinely cares about you and your well being. Because of this, you will wait approximately up to 2 hours past your appointment time. To me, it is absolutely worth it. She is the most kind, compassionate and empathetic doctor that I've ever met. I absolutely love her and would not trade her for anyone else. Period.

She is the best Dr. i’ve ever had. She is worth every minute of waiting. She is worth her weight in gold. She is patient, takes time to listen to your concerns and other patients, treats her patients like family. There aren’t enough good things I can say about her. She is truly the best. Very thorough. She’s not a 5 minute Dr. She is not one of the doctors that come in, hurry to finish with you, to run out to get to the next patient.

Even with an appointment, it’s common to wait about an hour in the waiting area plus one more hour or more in the small room. So, I wouldn’t recommend this office if you’re not willing to wait. However, the doctor (Manisha Thakur) is good and kind.
