Daystar Skin & Cancer Center

I recently visited Dermatology Daystar Skin & Cancer Center at 1157 Miranda Ln in Kissimmee. While the front desk staff could have been a bit warmer in their welcome, they were professional and knew exactly what they were doing, which helped keep things moving efficiently. I was seen by Jenny Le, PA-C, who was incredibly knowledgeable and attentive. She took the time to ask thorough questions and really listened to our concerns. Her assistant was also kind and showed genuine care, making sure we felt supported throughout the visit. Overall, it was a good experience—we felt heard and well taken care of by the medical team.

First, the reception staff is very unfriendly from the start. The women who greet patients and schedule appointments are quite rude and unempathetic. No matter how hard I try to be friendly and smile, they are not welcoming to the public. Second, the wait time is excessive. I have repeatedly arrived early for an appointment and been made to wait over an hour. The specialist is very kind and friendly, but the rest of the staff leaves a lot to be desired.

So this location has the worst front desk staff. The hispanic woman with green eyes has no sense of customer service. My appointment was at 10:15 and an hour later she has the audacity to ask me if I had an appointment. I told her I wrote my name on the sing in sheet ( #15) and one hour later is when she’s gonna tell me that she can’t find me and I don’t have an appointment?. At this point I have an attitude because that’s not the way you treat a new patient, she has an attitude back and tells me I don’t have a referral when I obviously do. She gave me an appointment for the following week and tells me I need to get a referral because of the type of insurance I have. I leave the office and I call the same number that gave me the appointment last week. The office manager spoke to me asked me who gave me that treatment and I let her know who the woman was, I guess it is not an isolated incident because of the managers reaction. She apologized to me and told me that the secretary’s attitude was not acceptable specially since they pull out my referral in a matter of seconds. My new appointment is in a different location (40 minutes from me) since I told the manager I will not be going back to the Kissimmee location with that woman being the first person you see. I’m thankful for the office manager being extremely accommodating and understanding but that front desk lady needs to either find a different job or take some customer service classes.

Before make an appointment with them make sure if they need referrals from your PCP doctor or not even if your insurance do not require it!

Very nice and knowledgeable and they listen if you tell them you've tried a medicine that didn't work they don't want you to try it again

I find it sad people are so critical of this Doctors office. The staff were very helpful and friendly. I don't understand why people are so mean if you don't do their job don't judge people. They are doing the best they can in this office. I had a good experience. Plus I am happy they take my insurance CHAMPVA

Well I have been looking at some reviews.And I have never ever been disppointed here.But staff could be a little more friendly n listen to the patient more.But besides that is a great place n they take u in fast.So IDK.
