Dr. Tran failed to effectively treat me for jock itch…how could I receive better skin treatment from an urgent care rather than a dermatologist?? When I would ask questions regarding my issues, he was rude. One thing that Seaside is good at is ensuring that they receive those co payments!! One of the ladies up front told me that my copayment was $80 when in reality it was only $25. I’m happy I knew what my co payment was supposed to be to avoid this overcharge. If a dermatologist can’t effectively treat jock itch should you really trust them for cancer research…? I’m giving 2 stars because they did do a good job removing a couple moles I had but it wasn’t Dr. Tran who did the removal. Yeah, I’d avoid this place.

They take your money for the procedure upfront based on their "calculation" and then fail to submit necessary documentation to the insurance company. Then they cannot do anything, because you have to talk to the billing department which does not care.

If I could give this office zero stars, I absolutely would. They sent my daughter to Quest for lab work for four months, only for us to later learn she should have been sent to Labcorp. Because they never verified which lab was covered by her insurance, we are now stuck with a $1,600 bill. And, of course, the office refuses to take any responsibility for their mistake.

My experience is with Dr. Mimi Tran. She has great communication skills for a doctor. She seems genuinely concerned about my condition and she is a good listener. She asked multiple times if I have any other questions or concerns. Her treatment was fast, efficient, and effective. I've had two different visits to the office for moles and skin tags. The front desk staff was very fast, polite, and professional.

Overall the treatment I received from the doctor and the nurse are very nice. My main complaint is the clinic's billing system. I visited the clinic twice and each time I need to pay right after the treatment I received before they checked the correct number with my insurance. This resulted in me overpaying the amount each time. I contacted them for refund issue for three times. I visited the clinic in mid April and mid May, and I was just told I would receive my refund in early July. (If I don't see the refund then I need to CONTACT THEM AGAIN) I understand that the clinic wants to make sure that patients pay the fee and that's why they charge right after the treatment. However, they should also understand that patients expect them to pay back the overcharged portion as soon as possible rather have the patient actively contact them multiple times to get the refund back. Update: it’s late July already and I still haven’t seen my refund. That’s why I’m changing the rating from 3 stars to 2 stars.

Dr. Tran is a wonderful Doctor! He does due diligence to ensure you are handling things correctly for your skin care, is very careful and not just prescribing anything to you which can damage your skin. We also unfortunately experienced a burn in our family which he was very helpful and was able to make sure we received the best care. Now, luckily, you would never know it ever happened. If you're looking for a doctor who cares about the patient as if they were his family, I would recommend Dr. Tran! 🙂

Appointment availability is very limited and so far, out I basically solve my own problems online by doing some research. Reaching out to talk with someone about scheduling is also a difficult process. Phone rings and rings and then doesn't allow you to leave a message.
