Medical Associates of RI

I was blown away by my experience at Medical Associates of RI, East Providence, today. Every person I interacted with (3) was polite, helpful, organized, thorough, and kind. I didn’t get the name of the person at the reception desk—very sweet—but Sophia and Dr. Molina were awesome! They both took their time with me, asking questions, getting background info. And Dr. Molina was able to give me references for other doctors needed. I was very appreciative of the appointment.

I'm very frustrated with them from the receptionist of doc Shulman till the billing department. In a few words in May I started a new insurance with a tufts plan and rationaly I looked for a doctor in the network.I stopped by at Howard Shulman's office the receptionist scanned my card and told me :You good,we're just started working with Tufts 2 weeks ago. In September 23rd my wife went to her physical , again they scanned her card . About 3 weeks ago surprise we get a bill from her visit I called back and was told that the doctor doesn't take patients on my Tufts plan.I wish I have money to sued them but wasn't not professional their service with no respect for me as a patient. I'm giving 1 cause there's no Zeros.

Office Assistants for Dr Molineros are very very rude. I’ve had 3 appointments with her, 1st I told her I was having Postpartum Depression issues, she said it was up to me to find someone to help, second appt I had a lot of swelling in my knee, she said it’s just inflammation and prescribed me ibuprofen, it turned out to be torn cartilage that I needed a lot of PT for..Last appointment, she was an hour late and refused me an antibiotic for a sore throat that she said was viral and just stay hydrated, even though I had white spots on my tonsils and very enlarged glands, it was later confirmed as strep by walk in clinic, which I suspected in the first place…I won’t ever go back there, an appalling service and a very dismissive Dr..!!! I would chose 0 stars if I could

Already switched to a new doctor after just 2 visits!! The doctor was extremely rude and condescending towards me, and acted like I didn’t know what I was talking about at all, when I clearly did!! Did not appreciate the way in which I was spoken to or treated at all!! The other staff members were very nice and helpful though!!

Dr. Cevallos is a great PCP. Never a long wait in the waiting room. Staff are always kind and considerate of privacy.

My friend had surgery on his foot. They work so well with his rehab, and wound care. Hes up an running in no time. They're very friendly, and caring.

I am sure the physicians are great (I wouldn't know), but if you are trying to get an appointment really soon, and like being able to get in touch with your physician, I don't recommend this place.
