Customer Reviews
The Dermatology Group has a rating of 4.8 out of 5 based on over 1585 reviews on Google
I am a physician and saw one of the doctors in this group. She was the most unprofessional doctor I have dealt with, which is hundreds over the course of my own medical school, residency, fellowship, and years in practice. I have was shocked and agree with the other bad reviews. This physician comes in the room, will not say much more than hello, certainly not inquire if you have any questions (basic fundamental doctor-patient stuff), and walk out. I'm quite certain she did not look at any of my intake paperwork stating I too am a physician. I told the nurse to bring her back in because I had a question. If a provider was just bad, I would never write a bad review. I get them from time to time, and I understand not every doctor patient relationship is a match, and this is OK. But what is not OK is continuing practice as such a horrible and seemingly careless physician. We don't need this in our community. I had a small lesion removed and she went WAY too deep in the excision. Unfortunately, I did not ask around about this doctor before my visit. Her poor procedure skills have affected so many around Columbia, so you don't have to ask too many people to find a horrible experience. I have found 5 and not 1 person has said something positive about this Dr. H. If you go see her for a biopsy, be warned she will likely scar you. I have heard multiple accounts of this now. I'm not talking about expected scars or little pigment changes. For simple shave biopsies, which don't require that much skill, there should be little residual sign of a procedure. I recently saw a dehisced wound from a mole excision in the teenage son of an office associate. The subsequent scar is absolutely unacceptable. I was so frustrated to see that, although it can be fairly easily fixed by a plastic surgeon (so I referred the family to a plastic surgeon).
I had an amazing experience with my dermatologist. From the moment I walked in, the staff was welcoming, efficient, and made me feel comfortable. The doctor took the time to really listen to my concerns, thoroughly evaluate my skin, and explain everything in a way that was easy to understand. What I appreciated most was the level of care and patience, nothing felt rushed, and every question I had was answered with compassion and clarity. The treatment plan was tailored specifically for my needs, and I’m already seeing real improvement. If you’re looking for a dermatologist who is knowledgeable, attentive, and truly cares about your skin and overall well-being, I highly recommend this office. I left feeling confident, seen, and supported.
Waited a month for apt. Have had hives head to toe for 3 months, 3 urgent care visits with meds one primary care with meds. No relief so referred to dermatologist. She spent 10 minutes in the room, never had me undress even rash head to toe. Never touched me or took scraping. Ordered a prescription for hives. I asked what is the plan what do I have she replied hives and walked out. I went to check out and asked when do I come back she put on paperwork as needed. Cannot believe I waited for this over month. Worst service ever.
Went to this office for an initial consult with Dr. Hunter. Was told in the beginning that the cost would be $140-$250 depending on what procedures they do. After waiting in the lobby to be seen for almost an hour, I got called back. Then I waited another 15 In the room. Dr.Hunter came in and barely spoke to me and just looked at my face. She didn’t even answer all of my questions and had a terrible bedside manner. I ended up leaving the office being charged $240. I asked why I’m being charged this when absolutely nothing was done and I left out with the same information as I came in with. The manager said that’s just the way the doctor coded it and that’s it. I will never recommend anyone going here. I was extremely disappointed in the whole visit.
I do not recommend this clinic. I had a biopsy done and called for the results a week later and they said they would call me when they were available. They never called. A month later I received a letter telling me my diagnosis and to call to setup a follow up. I called and left a message. No call back two days later I called and left another message. No call back. I decided to transfer my care elsewhere and asked them to fax my records to the new clinic and they have not done son and it’s been over three weeks.
The service was great. The staff as well as Dr Hannah were very impressive and knowledgeable. We felt that all of our concerns were addressed in a professional and timely manner.
Professional and polite receptionist. Took care of all my paperwork. Short wait to be seen by the doctor and nurse. Thorough exam for cancer spots. Froze many and biopsy 8 more. It was quick but made me feel like I was their patient, not just my first time. Gave me paperwork to get on the Portal, easy.
