I wish I looked into this place before even making an appointment. Unhygienic, no bed side manor, and terrible with time management. HIPPA violations are a concern along with cleanliness and mannerisms.

I read the reviews after I made my appointment but still kept my appointment. I am terrified of going to the doctor. EVERY employee was super friendly and engaging. My appointment was at 2:15, I was put in my room at 2:10 with the nurse stating that the doctor would be in as soon as possible and shut the door. Not 3 minutes later, the door open and the smiling Dr. McClerkin walked in. She addressed all my concerns and took the time to talk to me. I felt SEEN! The lady that does check out has a super personality and a great sense of humor. All in all I am so so happy that I did not let the negative nasty reviews on here keep me from seeing an amazing doctor.

Excellent Care and Expertise! I felt compelled to leave a review after reading some of the negative comments, as my visit yesterday with Dr. McClerklin and her staff went wonderfully and smoothly. I simply don't understand the low ratings, as my experience was five-star. The entire staff was friendly, nice, and highly knowledgeable. I completed all my necessary paperwork before entering the building, and my entire wait time and care visit was only an hour and fifteen minutes—very efficient! Dr. McClerklin was exceptional—she took her time during the consultation and gave me a clear sense of understanding about my skin condition and the proposed treatment plan. I truly appreciated her patience and thoroughness. While the facility may benefit from some updates or renovations, please don't let that detract from the quality of care. Dr. McClerklin's knowledge and genuine caring about her patients are what truly matter. I received excellent treatment and will absolutely be returning for my follow-up appointment. Highly recommend!

If your looking for a service provider and you have medicade of can’t afford a dermatologist I would suggest to go to Charleston’s Dermatologist. They didn’t even charge me. If you need help finding a ride to the appointment your insurance should cover someone to take there and back . When I went to Miss McClurkin’s office went there two hours and she told me I had to pay her $200. She said it would cover for her to tell me what was wrong with my skin. She also told me that all acne is from hormonal, which is incorrect. She didn’t give me any advice she just wanted the money . I didn’t have to pay any fees while coming here even though it was a 2 Hour Dr. it was worth it. They gave me everything I needed and help me. I didn’t even stay in the lobby 30 minutes. Not to mention her staff plays around and doesn’t act professional.

​ZERO stars! I have been trying to get into a dermatologist for a long time, and my experience at this clinic was absolutely appalling. My appointment was at 8:15 a.m., but there was a line of people waiting outside at 8:00 a.m. honestly was wondering if it was a methadone clinic being that it was also behind a seedy motel! But, I hoped for the best and went in. From the outside it looked rough but the inside was even worse! The entire process was chaotic. After finally getting a link to fill out paperwork online (which could have been sent ahead of time), I was put in a tiny rundown room where I waited for over an hour. ​When the PA finally came in, the visit got even stranger. Instead of discussing the skin issues I came for, she got fixated on my mention of hair thinning. She abruptly left the room to "take care of a payment" so the water wouldn't get shut off, but not before having me watch a 5-minute video about a $3,000 hair treatment. ​When she returned, I explained that I couldn't afford a treatment like that, especially since I'm on Medicaid. She then barely had time to talk about my skin before she was interrupted by another staff member, who then had a public argument with her in the hall. The other employee then came in and bizarrely asked me what I had been diagnosed with, and was annoyed when I explained this was my first visit. So she turned and walked out saying nothing. At that point, I just got up and left. I was there for nearly 2.5 hours for absolutely nothing. I would not recommend this place to anyone. I wish I had all these horrible reviews ahead of time. If you are reading my review in any of the others here they are all 100% authentic don't waste your time going to this disgusting place!

This place is beyond unprofessional. I went there last Thursday for an 11:15 appointment. Got there at 10:45 and sat in the waiting room for two hours before being called to the back! Once I was called to the back, I sat in there unattended for another 30 minutes. They staff take personal phone calls and they cuss as if they are not in a professional setting. It smells horrible in there, the inside looks a mess. I know there are a few health code violations. The doctor didn’t even wash her hands before trying to touch my hair which I would not allow. Today so Tuesday and my prescriptions still have not been sent to my pharmacy. I would not recommended this place to anyone. They do not even deserve the one star that Google made me give them! They don’t even deserve half a star! I will add pictures of what the room I was in looked like. This place is a complete mess ! Nobody there knows what they are doing and people need to be there inspecting this nasty filthy place!

The M.D and N.P. are both extremely nice. However, this is an extremely unorganized office. Someone in the reviews said "backdoor dr office" and that’s about right! The pictures you see , I mean they speak for themselves. I arrive for a 3:45 appointment was told it was gonna be "a minute" because there was 6 people in front of me. Well , waiting , waiting , waiting , I see people that came in after me walking out but I continued to wait patiently. Well, 5:30 rolls around and I go to walk inside and the door is locked, walk to the side, LOCKED. I started knocking on the door and patients are coming out. I walk in and they confirm I’ve been forgotten about. TO TAKE THE CAKE WE ARE 2 hours away!!! I’m grateful the doctors were still able and willing to see me but this office truly needs some work!!💕
