Dr. Paul Bevins was excellent at assessing the basil cell carcinoma on my chest and shoulder. He did the biopsy and then referred me to a specialist to remove the cancer. He explained the procedure during the biopsy and introduced me to liquid nitrogen to treat spots on my face. I highly recommend Dr. Paul Bevins at UC Health Dermatology at Clifton Medical Center on Piedmont Ave in Cincinnati.

I waited a 27-minute in a super cold exam room wearing a small gown before the dermatologist came into the exam room to address the medical concerns. She seemed like in a hurry to get me out of there! The nurses were super nice to me, and the receptionist was cordial and helpful. He was very polite and kind! Parking is underneath the building, and you can get the parking ticket validated before you leave. No fee was charged!

Add a voicemail to your answering service bad enough yall experimented on me without finishing the job but I got my insurance fixed now and I’ll be calling the beginning of next week to schedule an appointment. My insurance is back to being the same insurance it was when yall didn’t need a dime outta me to do two laser treatments on my face one that went over the tattoo on my neck and left a giant hole on my neck for weeks. Now that I got my insurance fixed I need you to FINISH THE JOB you started on me. Don’t give me another fake appointment like you did the last time I was supposed to come in where I came all the way there only for yall to be closed. Stop playing with people.

I’ve had very positive experiences here with a few different dermatologists. They’ve all been incredibly helpful and understanding. Dr. Shaughnessy has helped treat my rosacea and the results have been great. She’s very kind and listens to what I have to say and then comes up with a plan. The other staff is super sweet and bubbly. Lunden was absolutely incredible and not only made me laugh but made me feel like I was in a safe environment talking about a new health issue I was getting addressed that day by the Dr. UC Health is so lucky to have her! Seriously one of the best people I’ve had pre visit before seeing the Dr. Her energy is so positive and she helped alleviate the stress I had before my visit. I feel like I’m heard at this office and that my health matters to them. Highly recommend.

UC EDUCATE YOUR STAFF ON A.D.A. LAW AND ACCESSIBILITY!!!!! My husband had an appointment here that we waited 6 months for. The receptionist seemed cold and stark and to have not finished her coffee yet, which I can understand. She warmed up as the process went along. The doctor was great very knowledgeable. The MA…was severely rude and acted borderline discriminatory. My husband is Deaf and requires an interpreter for his appointments, obviously. The MA, Rhoshonda, upon my asking if the interpreter had arrived yet for the appointment stated "why they do that, they should have sent him to the clinic," not here. Gave us nothing but attitude the entire visit. My husband has EVERY RIGHT to be seen in a private practice as anyone else! UC Health needed to up their game when it comes to Deaf/Hard of Hearing Accessibility. And EDUCATE THEIR STAFF on it. It’s 2023 and this is utterly ridiculous!

Appointment was for 2pm, was told the doctor was "running behind". We were not called back until 3pm. Waited for doctor in exam room for 22 minutes before doctor came in. Just super disappointing as I am a case worker and this pushes me behind with other scheduled clients.

To provide some context, it took me 7 months to establish care with Dermatology due to two rescheduled appointments by the department. Each time I was contacted to reschedule, the only available appointments were 3 months out, causing significant delays in my access to care. My primary concern revolves around the brevity and inadequacy of today's appointment. Despite a family history of early onset skin cancer, I was told by Dr. Mutasim that I am "too young to worry about skin cancer" and that annual check-ups are unnecessary. This dismissive attitude, especially after informing him about my younger sister's recent skin cancer diagnosis, was both frustrating and concerning. Furthermore, the appointment itself lasted only 5 minutes, during which Dr. Mutasim failed to conduct a comprehensive skin examination. He briefly scanned my back for approximately 5 seconds and did not examine any other part of my body. His suggestion to "take pictures" and "use the internet" for concerns was not only unhelpful but also left me feeling neglected in terms of proper medical care. I have attached the "educational pamphlet" provided, which recommends using the internet to learn about melanoma. This limited guidance, along with the minimal examination performed, has left me questioning the quality of care I received. Additionally, I was dismayed by Dr. Mutasim dictating my appointment notes while I was still present, resulting in an appointment that realistically lasted less than 5 minutes. This, coupled with the scheduling challenges I faced, leads me to believe that I did not receive the standard of care expected from a dermatologist. I have already submitted a complaint with my insurance company to appeal the co-pay charge for the services rendered. I am actively seeking another dermatologist for my future care and will not be returning to UC for dermatology services.
